I'd seriously consider doing this mod if I didnt have to carry the occasional human back there.. Fantastic work.

It's nothing fancy, but we use this one.

Has a hard bottom so dog has more room than just the seat cushion. On long trips I toss her bed back there. You can remove the hard pieces and machine was it. It's pretty easy to remove, it just attaches with straps around the headrests. I've even folded it over the use one of the back seats without completely removing it.

@sheath Nice job on reusing your old setup. Looks good.
I toy with the idea of removing my backseats for more room.
