No proximity for me. I have never had it so I won't miss it, besides there have been mixed reports on how well it works.

I am also very back and forth on the safety packages. I for every pro I think of a con. If pricing is above what I have anticipated these will be the first to go. Next to go would be the body colored fenders, I am not getting the body colored top. I like the black top, plus it will be easier to keep it looking good while storing it all summer.

Color is also something I change my mind on once a week.
proximity keys for my pacifica is AMAZING! Walk up to car with key in your pocket, door unlocks automatically, press on brake, and push start button.

Drive to lowes, get out of car, lock car with keys in pocket, walk into lowes with car still running.

Walk back to car, unlocks again.....REPEAT.

love it.:involve:

How long can I hold out for half doors. I won’t be ready to buy until fall, but they were supposed to be out for the JL last year and we haven’t heard any updates on them...

Obviously things will change once the prices come out, the order banks open, and we start seeing these in person. But while we wait, are there any options that you are having trouble deciding on?

First for me is the color: it's between Gobi and Gator, but I really need to see Gator in person. I've seen Gobi (it's awesome), but I don't trust the color in the configurator, and I'm not sure about those factory pics.

Second is the top: on a Wrangler, a premium soft top is a no-brainer for me. For the Gladiator, I'm not totally on board with how the soft top opens. I wish it went all the way down. As for the hard top, the body-colored one is growing on me. I don't like them on Wranglers, at all, but to me on a JT it hearkens back to Willys Trucks or an original Power Wagon. Why doesn't a body-colored hard top on a Wrangler remind me of a Willys Wagon? I don't know lol. I guess I just want a Wrangler to look like a Wrangler, four doors or not.

I'm sure I'll think of other
things, but these are the first two that popped into my head.
I'm with you 100%.

I KNOW that I want a Sport S because I want the Max Tow package with power windows/locks and Cold Weather Package.

What I can't decide on is what color I'd get, and which top I'd get. With Wrangler, the hardtop is a no-brainer. You need that plumbing and electrical in the rear so that if you ever decide to run the hard top you save money, and it increases resale value, and the wiper is awesome in winter weather. On the Gladiator there is no wiper. So the plumbing/wiring isn't a must-have. Which makes it easier to go with the soft top.

Hmmmm............

I am struggling with color, top options, safety packages and head unit options. I know for sure I want the sport s model for the same reasons WXman posted. I was thinking black but that hydra blue is fine. Then the white looks good as well with black fenders and top. Holy shitake! I cant make a decision...

Is the beer window power-slide? I don't think I've heard one way or the other.

Struggling with pricing, I already think the JL is somewhat overpriced. Just hoping the JT is priced pretty close.

As far as options I'm not too picky, hoping for Sport S with heated seats and 7" stereo, regular towing. On the fence with tops, really want both but will most likely make decisions that keep that the price as low as possible. If this build out seems priced ridiculously Ill either price JL's or a used Colorado ZR2 diesel.

I'm one of those goofballs that plans on a loaded Rubicon. I've got technology/safety packages in my other vehicles and I've decided I can't live without adaptive cruise control. Over the past seven years I've only had collision avoidance kick in twice, but both times it may have prevented an accident (not sure if I would have reacted fast enough). Back to the posted question though - I've been back and forth on painted fenders and top - but it just seems they will wear better being unpainted. Bluetooth speaker maybe? I have a pair of wireless outdoor speakers so technically I don't need it - but having one that plugs into its own spot is kind of nice. Ohh, I have one - winch capable bumper. I know I want a winch on it but I'm not sure if the one you can upgrade to is worth it considering what may be out there aftermarket. There is a part of me though that isn't real excited for paying for two bumpers when I could just get the one.

Struggling with many of the options, since FCA doesn't want to provide much info...

Pricing: Obviously will drive choice of options, including whether or not to buy at JT. Cost of many options can be assumed similar to JL, so have a better idea on that the actual vehicle!

Rubicon: pretty set on that
Color: Probably Gobi #1, or Sting-Gray close #2, so with late availability on both I've got time to see how the JT really performs
Engine: V6, no advantage with EcoDiesel on a JT, and still recovering from emissions pain on my Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel
Trans: Auto for towing

Tops: was originally thinking dual top, but the soft top open hanging in the breeze looks pretty stupid...not sure what FCA was thinking. Debating with Gobi between black and color matched top (both look good), Sting Gray would color match. May just go hard top and wait for an aftermarket where they actually design a good soft top
Fenders: Debating between black and color match. Gobi looks really good with black (and only way the show JTs are built so far). Sting Gray looks good color match.
Bumper: may wait for aftermarket winch capable
Seats: Leather, color TBD depending how they really look in person
Dash: Not a fan of the red, see some colors configs with gray and that could drive exterior color choice

Bed options: Really want details of the bed rails and what can really be carried back there. Need to see details... (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/bed-rack-storage-for-kayaks.14148/)

Most of the other options I'd be decided on.

I’m all in on a loaded Rubi. Color? Ugh. Every time I look at one or build one I change my mind.

My big question is fenders. Do the black ones fade or get so muddy/dirty they stain and can’t come clean? We just rented a 18 JKU in AZ and the fenders looked like crap. I know that’s a rental but when we attempted to wash off the rental since didn’t think the said rental company would be happy with where I went with their vehicle, just didn’t seem to come clean 100%. Thoughts to current Jeep Owners? My CJ7 is fine cause it’s the look.

Any one know the weight of the front bumper (steel)? That might help determine if I go afterm

The black fades on the fenders, the top not as much. Unless they changed material recently. Although the black fenders fade they don't chip and scratch on the trail the way the painted ones do.
