So when at the stealership yesterday they had a JL in the showroom with the doors off.
Got me thinking about the lack of side mirrors when this is done.
Pretty sure that's a roadworthy requirement here.
Wondering if anyone has had an issue with Leo's on their Wranglers?
In 8 years of JK ownership, the wife has never had the doors off, the complete top maybe twice, and the freedom panels maybe half a dozen times.
Btw in the owners manual, it states not to go highway speeds with the freedom top front two panels removed. Although I have seen others do it many times.
Just killing time waiting for the JT, so another anal retentive thread, my apologies.:headbang:

There are tons of aftermarket side-view mirror options, exactly for this reason.

I think this would be a per state thing... but I'll bet lots of states have similar laws. Someone probably compiled a list by state already...

For doors off of any vehicle, it needs to have a foot well (to keep your feet from sliding out). If you own an old Bronco, you could run into trouble with the police depending on your state laws.

It is illegal in Pa to have your doors off. Apparently they have been fighting to change this.

It's perfectly legal up here in the northeast.

I’ve driven highway speeds and greater with them off for many miles with no problem.

Can always buy aftermarket half doors! Or...

Hey JEEP and FCA make half doors for the JT !

Hey JEEP and FCA make half doors for the JT !
Thankfully the doors are the same on the jl and the jt so halfdoors for either model will fit the other model
