I haven’t bought one yet, but here are the reasons why am going to

1)I just turned 50 years old and I’m wondering how many more good years I actually have left so I want to have as much fun as I can now.

2)My kids are grown, educated, and doing well in their own lives. I’ve never understood people who work their whole lives just to leave money to their kids. I’ve done my job.

3)I save just enough in my 401(k) to make sure I don’t have to eat cat food when I get old.

4)My JK and TJ could use some company in the garage

We need a new vehicle.

She Who Must Be Obeyed misses her old 97 TJ and loves the new JT.

I’ve had a Jeep affair for many years it was my 1st new vehicle, i was 19 years old an 83 Jeep CJ-7 renegade it was my daily driver for 12 years. met my wife in it in 86 . Anyway it went on and on from there a 91 Sahara in factory flat green. A 91 Grand Wagoneer . 93 Cherokee sport, 97 Sahara, 2011 JKUR, 2005 LJ , 2014 JKUS. I always wanted a J20 but couldn’t find what i wanted. I had my eyes on the new Gladiator for awhile and I’m happy to have one.
Impressive!! I think Jeep OWES you a Gladiator!

I've always liked Jeeps, but I've never owned one. I almost bought a Wrangler when I bought my Ram five years ago. I justified the Ram over the Jeep because I had just bought my first house and knew the utility of it would come in handy. Fast forward to two weeks ago when I saw a Gladiator sitting at the dealer while getting my truck inspected. I took it out for a test drive followed by a second one in a manual JL and placed my order that day.
Nice! To be honest I would have purchased the RAM 1500 Rebel if it fit in my garage. Incredible truck for the money. I have no regrets though. The JT is everything I hoped it would be, and it fits snugly in the garage :)

My Gladiator purchase was YEARS in the making! All I've own are Jeeps. Started with a 1996 Cherokee Sport, then onto Grand Cherokee's, three in total. I used my Grand Cherokees for hauling most everything. Once I stuffed 33 bags of mulch in one! The guys at Home Depot thought I was nuts, but to each his own! Here's a short video I made justifying that I needed the Gladiator. I guess it worked too, and I couldn't be happier! What worked for you?

I really like your custom rack idea. That should be available to buy for every SUV. Do you have the plans you can share?

I just bought a JLU but want to wait until next to year to see if any 2020's are available with low mileage or see if they offer a 2021 in yellow in which case I'd probably get a Sport S with soft top. Also like to see if they have some limited editions.

Thanks. I don't have the plans. Just built to fit and painted to look good. Here are other pics that could you get the idea. I drilled holes in the bed extender where I passed bolts through the rack into the extender to hold it down tight.

That's brilliant! Nice work.
Do you have the inside end of it fastened to the floor of the car or do you just rely on the weight of the material and the tow support to keep it planted?

For the most part it's just the weight of what I'm hauling, but I have used the D rings on the cargo floor to better secure the load.

Like all your reasons, @LidLess07X , mine are similar... but my garage isn't nearly as sexy! LOL

I have had an itch to get a new toy and was looking at buying a rather expensive sports car about a month ago and keeping my 2015 Wrangler as a daily driver. But I love my JK. My wife and I have driven it from Florida to California and from Florida to Colorado. Then I test drove a JT and loved it. The JT can make such a good daily driver and cool overland rig. And I'll save a ton over buying the other choice. :) Just waiting for Gator.
