I still dont believe the manual exits. I see seperate interior and exterior photos. I think this is a hoax and that is a Jl manual. Im all seriousness I just talked to Jeep chat. Still in D. However, I asked if he knew the hold up and he said all chat gets is a status and dealer may have more. So chat saying what the hold up.of your order is may all be bs

What purpose would a hoax of a manual existing serve? Not saying your wrong, but cmon......

We know that manuals are being built, is it that much of stretch to "believe" they are actually shipping?

Perhaps between masterminding 9/11 and faking the moon landing, the poster simply bought and received an MT gladiator.

It's been many moons since I drove a manual and it was in big trucks over 5 years ago. The first bit into each gear is a bit tight yet but getting more used to it slowly. Tried just timing the shifts up with accelerating and not usimg clutch, but was told that could be bad for syncros not usin the 3rd pedal??
Congrats! You might not want to put your address out there.. Some people on here are so anxious they may go steal it for a test drive! So I used to float gears in my old Cobra, before synchros. From what I've heard though, now it's better to go ahead and use the clutch on all your shifts. You are also only going through 6 gears, as opposed to 16+.

Hello all! Long-time first-time. I had done several hours of research here in the forum ahead of this purchase and was real worried the whole time with the MT option and word of it being delayed. I placed my order May 9th and got the canned "8-12 weeks" answer from my dealer and the FCA chat was hit and miss for helpfulness through the duration. In fact my dealer quoted an estimated ship date of June 27th back in early June, then FCA chat told me the 24th there was no way it would even be started by then but to check the 28th. I was out of town the whole weekend so got on the chats Monday morning and was astonished to hear it was actually delivered the 29th!?

Anyways here it is and I am so glad I went MT. The pedal pressure is pretty soft but can tell it's there (mostly), the quiet engine takes a bit of getting used to with rev matching and take-offs, and the start/stop only works when under the 3mph with no gas pr clutch pedal being applied. It also doesn't help w the Alpine (not Pioneer like I had in my head for some reason) I have the tunes up to loud and half rely on the tach and just natural feel to know when to shift.

You do have to let the revs get fairly high before shifting if you want to feel the stable full of horses under the hood. The last stick vehicle I drove some years ago was semi and straight trucks so was used to shifting at lower RPMs so Ill have to get back into letting her sing then grab more. I feel 6th gear is not real useful as it will likely only be used for flat highways with tailwinds ha. 5th and 6th are very close to the same range it feels like so far so not sure how much I'll be between those. I bought this to haul my 2 dirtbikes or occasionally the ADV bike and not boats or oversized loads so should be fine.

now the good part... the pics. I snapped the interior ones just now coming back from lunch and can try other angles if need be but you get the jist of it. The top has the 6 speed pattern and the red ring has to be raised to even begin towards Reverse.

I think there was some sarcasm that you missed no one truly believes there is a conspiracy it's all in jest. :like:

Hey Justin thanks for your reply comments. And pardon my ignorance but I have never heard of changing gears in a manual transmission without using the clutch. Have not had a stick shift in a long long time. Will have to give that a try on a new Wrangler that has a stick shift. I don’t think I will ever see a Gladiator with a stick shift at any dealership unless they order one for a customer.

My manual sport is built. I got this email this morning:

“Dear Matt,

This is a courtesy email update regarding your 2020 Jeep Gladiator order.

I have taken the liberty of looking up your factory order and the current status as of 07/03/19 is the following:

Your order has completed the build and inspection processes and is presently awaiting a shipping schedule. I hope to have further shipping updates to share shortly.

I will continue to track your order and keep you appraised of further updates as they become available.

Thank you again for your continued patience, Matt.”
