Yep. Need to use forged pistons if you're going to add boost. The 5.7L/6.4L Hemi's use Hypereutectic pistons. Not sure if the Pentastar does too but folks boosting them drop in forged pistons for a reason. Bottomline, if you're feeling lucky, add some boost to your ride and cross your fingers that you never throw a code.

Generally good advice, that said, today's modern casting can produce a component as strong as or more so than a forged product.

Take away: You will lose nothing with forged pistons, but casting has a lot of offer in various applications. Castings have come a very long way.

That was my thought when I watched that video. With a stock 11.3:1 compression ratio with any boost you better be running at least 100 octane. It's a bad idea and I wasn't surprised they blew the engine.

I think there is a fascination with being on "TV"...it stemmed from the launch of TV, manifested with signboard idiots at the today show, accelerated with reality TV like Big Brother and Survivor and now has reached a peak with the millennial generation and yearning for hits and likes across multiple social media platforms like a bunch of crack craving attention whores.

1. They are Youtubers. They need some drama to gain followers and keep followers. This is how our society works. Soap Operas have become real life.

This may start a shit-show... but why do people hate on YouTubers so much? I’m not a big fan of Lite Brite videos, but mostly because I can’t relate to their lifestyle or budget. I see no reason to hate on them either.
I see this all the time and can’t help wonder why people need to cut down others just because they don’t like their content/opinion/appearance/etc. I realize this IS the internet and it’s full of hate... but I tend to just ignore the things I don’t like rather then cut them down.
Sorry for the rant... feeling like an old man now. Just want to see the world as a happier place for my kids!

YouTube hate as it were typically comes from thinly veiled product placement crafted to look like an honest appraisal.

Youtuber is permitted the open ended use of product A in exchange for a favorable review and endorsement that will lead to further sales to viewers this offsetting any cost to the manufacturer. This is not a bad thing in and of itself but ethics say the YouTuber should be disclosing how they came into ownership.

It’s one thing to say hey KC sent me these spiffy lights because I love KC’s so much and wouldn’t you know it, these KC’s are the greatest lamps I’ve ever owned and they do everything and don’t break.

It’s another thing to say hey thank patreon members for allowing me to go out and buy all these lights here on the table and a photo meter and thank you to unnamed friend for allowing use of their property to set up a static target range and let’s see which lamps are mostest. Hey these KC’s by the statistics perform the best and and to my eye give the best light, you might like them to. Click here to see where you can buy them.

Accepting compensation is not a bad thing, provided you disclose it. If KC is going to deck out my rig, how negative of a review can I possibly give unless I have a long and wide history of giving frank assessments and equally criticize all the players in the given market. In that case I’m the grumpy curmudgeon and represent another flavor of marketing channel.

Shilling is shilling and it’s very obvious when it’s happening but YouTube provides channel for nearly every stripe of jeeper to identify with and align their views to. Lite brites followers are like them and share their goals and aspirations and will more likely than not buy what they like or say they like.
