I have a 2020 Gladiator Overland and of course, one of the first things I did...take off the top, doors and put down the front windshield. Well, when I took the nuts (and nut covers) off the wiper blades to put down the windshield, I somehow lost one set. The nuts are a custom size (because of course they are) and that nut cover price?

This was a very costly mistake.

Just make sure to put them in the holder underneath rear seats. It's even labeled where to put the windshield wiper bolts.

Did they gently cup your one remaining nut while savagely administering that uhhh......

If your dealer is charging you full list he doesn't value your business very much.

You should see how easy it is to do this on a G-Wolf. You pull the whole arm forward and it tucks up against the tub below the hinge. Why Jeep can't do this is a mystery. All it is is a long shaft and a spring and you pull the gears out of mesh and then put it back into mesh.

But then you would have to have $3k worth of Bosch electrical components that have shit the bed on order constantly.

Actually the g-wolf is from the old school Bosch builds. They are not like an AMG G anything.

But don’t worry, with FCA comes the wide world of magneti marelli. Remember the days of temperamental Italian electricals and ineffectual air conditioning that could have been added just for spite?

But to be fair US build quality from the same period was wonderfully malaise era UAW; 20/20 special reports, pintos, Fords flaming cruise control etc.

I am sure there is some unicorn dealerships out there, but from my experience, most will not come off list unless you are in the hundreds of dollars for the purchase. Small stuff, almost never. I even have one dealer that does internet sales for discounts but local walk in's, never a discount.

Volkswagen left me with a massive, throbbing, grudge fueled erection for all things Bosch. I've never been subjected to the level of inclusivity that was Bosch electrical component failure in that car.

True enough if you don't ask for one they will dry dock every time.

That said I have never had one deny me a discount when I asked for one. I have also turned to eBay for that kind of thing where there are many dealerships looking to pump their parts numbers by discounting online, without muddying up their own local market. Falls Mopar City has been a good vendor to me on ebay.
