I framed the inside with wood and pywood then covered it with waterproof canvas(rapid prototyping ) Its lighter than a fiberglass top bit takes two people to put it on. I plan to weld up a steel frame if I like. So far it is good.

I have been working on putting some lights in the rear bumper where the red reflectors go for a bit now. I am close to finishing the install but I am not happy with the final look as of now. The brackets and the way I am going to mount the lights are done but I was trying to cover up all the hardware for a clean look but I missed the mark. The hardware that came with the lights are a frog hair thicker than the plate that I made to hide them so I am looking for a thicker material. I also may skip my idea of going with the red reflector factory look and just keep it black. I hope to have it finished by the end of the week.

That looks great. I would like to see some pic of the inside. Ever think of going with aluminum to lighten it up a bit?

If I was traveling alone I would try to build something just like this but the wife lady is long. She would be all bunched up in the tiny little bed. I was thinking of dropping the gate and adding a foot and half to the sleeping space somehow.

I put these on a little bit ago, but just finished editing a video incase anybody wants to see the process.

it's very simple... and can actually save you a lot of money. My dealier matched quadratech's price and then applied the 15% off mopar coupon so I got them for $470ish (they're way more as an option), with taxes shipped. Plus they were not on the sticker so lower MSRP = lower excise taxes every registration.
