Just a tight tension velcro pull with 2 straps going through the inside of the handle. After 3 days they are holding well (lol). They may start to drop, but only time will tell. I hope they continue to stay in the up position unless I need them. It’s nice and clean having them out of sight when not in use. I’ll update if they start dropping. They do look good and like the body color match metal handle. I would think the darker color handles would get very hot in the sun, so something to consider.

What is the material that contacts the roll bar? Any concern on it scratching the paint?

That was my rational for going with the 6” wide rails! Shopping cart and car door proof! They also deflect gravel kicking up from the front tires.

I am going to have to look into those. I am not exactly happy when I ding my vehicles, but at least I did it to myself. People that ding my vehicles because they can't control their doors drive me nuts! Plus looks like it will be a good step up into the cab for those of us that may be vertically challenged....

Added 35s and new wheels without a lift, which I kind of like not raising the center of gravity and further decreasing MPG.

Oh, and IMO, the tires are the best aspect. I had the Cooper STTs on my H2 last decade, and have tried numerous other options before and since. IMO, they are the best for on-and-off-road performance. On one run, I was the only one out of about 12 vehicles that didn't slip down a sharp rock drop-off. They weigh a bit more than average, but only a few pounds. These are 67 pounds--one reason I tried to get wheels on the lighter side, which partly offsets that. .

I went and got a scorpion spray in berliner. Man this stuff is awesome had a lil shine to it.It looks and feels great . This guy went above and beyond and knocked it out the park . First thing done to the gladiator and couldn't be happier.
