Were they straight forward to install? How much?![]()
AMP research side steps. Love them. Look great at night too.
I bought them from 4WHeel parts on Black Friday for 1600. They also had a 50%of labor deal so additional $300 for installation. I was told they were difficult to install by store. I was the first gladiator they installed the AMP research steps on so it took them all day to put them on.Were they straight forward to install? How much?
Pics!moves the air in the defroster from the center to the sides. the venting just blows out the middle, this moves it evenly so the windshield doesnt ice up on the sides
What are your thoughts on the Hard Rock Winch Plate?Completed mechanical install of OEM steel bumper and Warn Zeon 10S winch. Electrical and install rope left to go.
Got winch off craigslist.com. $500 and came with optional Mopar winch hoop. Added Rock Hard winch plate and fairlead adapter for $200. So, $700 spent for $1898 (QTec prices) in equivalent Mopar parts.
Install is a pain compared to the Shrockworks bumper on my JK. But, no drilling/grinding required (though Rock Hard warns with my winch it is very close and some installs may actually require grinding). Very happy with the results.

It seems to be quite strong and well designed. Fit with the Zeon series winches is quite tight. As I alluded, Rock Hard does warn it probably shouldn't, but may require a bit of grinding. I'm still puzzling out the skid plate/air dam that I removed along with the plastic bumper. Apparently that doesn't work with the steel bumper. Go figure. Not sure how having the Rock Hard winch plate will affect that. Was reading a thread here last night and it had a lot of contradictory statements as to what parts fit and work, etc. What are your thoughts on the Hard Rock Winch Plate?
I've been looking for the Mopar winch plate and it seems to be out of stock in the places I have looked...
The Plate you installed appears to be well made, but I haven't found any reviews...
Thanks in advance...
Ouch!Possibly bent a rod.
