Installed Rock Hard sliders, stubby antenna, and Tazer over the last few days. The rock rails were a bit tricky so a few notes in case it helps anyone:

First, the pro tip to heat up the body mount bolts before removing is an awesome tip! I forget where I read that, but if you've posted it before I thank you. For a fun test, I removed the driver side without heat and the passenger side with heat by way of a heat gun for about 3 - 5 minutes per bolt. It was a night and day difference.

Installing the driver side rail I had to drill out one pinch weld hole, but then they slipped right on no problem. The passenger side was a different story. Six of the eight pinch weld holes had to be drilled in various directions and then once the rail was mounted there, I noticed the middle body mount bracket didn't line up with the body mount on the Jeep. It was close, but off by 1/4" or less. Enough off center where I was unable to get the Rock Hard supplied bolt to thread back up. I was able to get the factory bolt threaded, I'm guessing because the end of that bolt is tapered and could probably "grab and pull" itself into the body threads. I struggled with that for too long as I really didn't want to have two different size bolt heads for the body mount bolts (Rock Hard hardware is 19mm, factory is 18mm.) I emailed them about it so I'll see what they say.

Regardless of that issue, they're on and look great! Can't wait to put them to use.

Swapped out the 3.5” top dash (with Infinity REF3022CFX) and soundbar (with JL Audio C2 350x) speakers. Nice sound improvement over the Alpine Premium speakers.

Picture is of the JL Audio in the Soundbar.

I’m convinced any Alpine Premium (8.4 with 9 speakers) replacement is a big improvement.

See the pictures below comparing the magnets.
1) Alpine (muddy sound)
2) Infinity (better high/mid, less bass)
3) JLAudio (better better mid/bass, less high)

Nice! I replaced the dash speaker. How do you get into the sound bar without destroying it?

nice! Did you have to modify anything for fitment? Any issues with install?

Easy, took maybe 20 minutes to do both sides. Just 4 torx screws to remove the cover panel and 2 screws to remove the speaker. No modifications needed although it’s tight and you have to finagle the wires behind the spongy sound deadening insert (you can see it beside the speaker).

Use the below wiring harness adapter on the 3.5” speakers and makes it very easy. They just slide/snap on.

No modification to the JT at all. On the Infinity speaker bracket ears I had to put a slight (30 degree-ish) bend with needle nose pliers on each side to fit the top dash compartment screw holes. Nothing to it and that was all. Everything went in nicely and sounds so much better than stock. I believe the 8.4 stereo head is fine, just needed some better speakers for the output. Still a work in progress with the remaining speakers, but happy with the results for now.

Thanks! That looks like the same type of harness I used to put a set of Cerwin Vega H735 speakers in the dash. They were a huge upgrade over the dash speakers. Now I want an upgrade for the mid/bass. I'll definitely take a look at the JL C2-350x.

I don't need my speakers to rattle my windows, but was a bit disappointed with the speakers that came with the premium sound system in the JT. My 2013 GC Overland sounded much better IMO.

Nice I have been thinking about doing this. Where did you run the wire all the way to the aux wiring in the front?
yes, I ran the wires inside the box frame all the way up to the aux wires in the engine compartment. Used the factory wire looms under the bed, zip tied to that, made my way to a hole back there to enter the box frame. Then There is a hole in the box frame behind the shock that serves as an easy exit to go straight up to the aux wires and ground location. See photo
