Nice setup. Can the tonneau move with the rack installed?
Thanks.

The back flap can open, lift, latch, and unlatch for access from the top, and the cover can be slid open between the rear and front rack posts. But, there is not enough room to roll the cover to the front unless the rack is removed (4 bolts, a minute or two, and about 45 lbs to lift). Once that’s done, the tonneau can be rolled open passed the remaining lower-half rail brackets and secured just as without the rack. Then, the rack can be remounted with the cover in the open position. Neither difficult nor as simple as I might like, though it’s hard to imagine how it could be easier with any other rack that would be strong enough to be useful.

Got it. Thanks.

Did the snow brush tailgate storage mod as shared by another member, using Quick Fist clamps.

You can’t imagine how you’ve created a real dilemma! Do I go with your Quick Fist upgrade or I stay with my first idea? :)

ln both case, after some weeks of snow here, it’s really useful to get access to a snow brush without having to enter the Jeep. You can avoid that classical show fall in the cab when you open the doors!

And I will search for the Quick Fist on the web... Just in case!!!

I used the Mini Quick Fists and they don’t fit the channel in the tailgate perfectly. I trimmed the 4 corners at 45 degrees to get a better fit in the channel. Thinking when the weather warms up I will remove and add a dab of silicone as added insurance to keep the tapped holes water tight.
In any case this was a creative use of what was already provided by Jeep.
Well Done Sir!

Those don’t look convenient if you need to slide something in the bed...
I braided 3 -48” shock cords and clipped them to the tie downs. You can slide any long item between the cords to prevent it rolling around on its own and ending up out of reach at the cab end. Easily removed and you always have a shock cord handy. Picture is with the recently installed Smartliner.

Since I routinely slide things in and out the back - on the tailgate, anything would be in the way there, I'll have to look to see if there's a spot that would work on the SIDE, open tailgate, reach in and grab the brush from the side.
Otherwise I'd break off any brackets sliding heavy stuff across the tailgate. But the sides seem to be safe places......

Small stuff, but I got my matching fifth wheel and new spare tire (put a nail in the sidewall of a tire already  ) mounted under the Jeep. For those curious, mounting it pretty side up should keep all damage off the wheel as the tire is what makes contact with everything.

Went ahead and ordered some wiper blades to keep on reserve to get over the free shipping mark when I ordered my TPMS.

Also went nuts with a spreadsheet to monitor maintenance, repairs, upgrades, good deals vs bad deals... Nice to see everything put down and organized, but starting to wonder if I actually want to see some of these numbers :puke:

I ordered a bunch of stuff for my new JT. So far I have ordered Duratrac tires (install next Saturday), Teraflex leveling kit, WeatherTech 3D floor liners, Bestop roll-up tonneau, and the Bedrug matt. I am looking at bumpers now.

Damn. Started fitting the tube doors today, and the first one (thankfully) had a broken bump stop. It was missing and the weld was snapped. Back to the shop tomorrow am. Hopefully they have another set in stock, but I doubt it.
