New bumper from Rusty's Off-Road. It's a pricey piece, but absolutely top notch and it addresses the back corner rail protection that the Sports are missing. This bumper will use the stock rear rock rail brackets on a Rubicon. In my case Rusty's also makes HD brackets for those who didn't come with them (like with my Sport). The only thing I'm missing at this point are the license plate lights. The bumper is designed to use the lights from the Rubicon, which Jeep, for some reason, decided to make a different shape from the Sports. I've got those parts on order.

Made the drive over to 4 Wheel Parts to pick up my Bestop Twill Sunrider. Was gonna wait until spring but the $100 rebate Bestop is running prompted me to buy now. 4WP was also offering another 10% off orders over $250 bringing the price down to $726 after tax when you deduct the rebate....Score!

My son and I installed the UpDown Air system for the JT. New Gen2 version is truly no-drill/bolt-on and very cool to have on the Gladiator. Went with the ARB Twin On-Board Compressor mounted under the passenger’s seat. Makes airing down, airing back up, and equalizing all tires so quick and easy.

Kudos to Ashlyn at Overland/UpDown Air for being extremely helpful and responsive.

Updating with pics as promised:

Awesome I’m doing the same thing just waiting for my off days, could you share how you decided to wire up the ARB

I did a few things here and there over the past week, but the most noticeable were wiring up my lights, and installing new wheels/tires. They were way too clean, so I had to find a little bit of dirt on the way home from work yesterday.

I still have a few more projects over the next couple of weeks, so I'm sure I'll have more pictures soon!

Did you wire those cube lights to the AUX switches?
Also curious if you used any kind of security screws on either the mount or the cube lights themselves.
Just ordered a similar set up myself.

I don't have the aux switch kit, but I do have an sPOD. Wiring was a breeze.

I don't have any security hardware for them. This mounting solution uses a different bolt than what comes with the pods, and it's kind of wedged between the rear of the light and the mounting tab. It'd be impossible to get a socket on, but a thin wrench and a bit of patience could probably get it off; the same way I got it on. It's rock solid though.

Yep that’s the same cowl mount I ordered.
Will have to try and do the mounting like you did.
Thanks for the pics and info.

No problem. Install with one set of hands was a bit clunky, due to trying to keep the hardware from falling out of the light bracket while getting the bolt started in the tab. All in though, it took maybe 30-45 minutes, not including routing and cleaning up wiring. It's a great mounting solution, in my opinion.

Be advised though: The cowl mounts only come with enough tabs (two tabs total) to mount one light per side. I had to order an extra set of tabs to mount my other two pods. That felt a bit dishonest, considering the pictures show two pods mounted on each side (I'd say there's probably room for four to five 3" pods per side), but it is what it is. Rigid part # 41657 is the short standoff kit (the same height included with the cowl mounts), and part # 41658 is the tall standoff kit. Amazon has them.

Also, pro tip: Don't be dumb like me and neglect to notice the tabs have two unique sides (you can kind of see what I mean in the pictures above). One side aims the lights dead ahead, and the other takes them off to an angle. I accidentally had one facing ahead, and one off at an angle. Make sure you have the correct side facing forward for your needs, or you'll have to unbolt the cowl, take out a bolt from the tab, spin it, and reassemble.

I just PM'd you with a few personal questions, so sorry for the double-tap, but I thought other people may benefit from this one as well:

Do you have any pictures of running your air hose from the compressor to the box? Where at in the firewall did you run that, and the power/ground cables for the ARB?

Installing my compressor is my next big project, and I think this is the route that I'll go. I planned on running hose to the rear and sticking two air chucks on each side of the rear bumper, but this is so much more convenient and clean.

No problem. The UpDown Air JT Gen2 kit includes everything for a no-drill installation. Hoses are pre-cut. Very straightforward. They also sell the under-seat bracket for the twin ARB. Call and ask for Ashlyn at Overland/UpDown Air. She has all the info for the JT install. As for running the hose, no firewall involved; hose runs through the drain hole just in front of the rear seat on the passenger’s side. No pics of how I ran everything, as it is pretty obvious once you see it and Ashlyn will send you very detailed instructions with pictures, if you ask nicely. Finally, I am fairly confident the regulator would easily clear the Genesis dual battery setup. Again, might want to ask, just in case.

The drain hole...why didn't I think of that! Does yours run under a floor mat? No issues with it being crushed/obstructed I assume?

Thanks for the great info! I'll reach out next month when I'm ready to purchase

Installed Metalcloak fenders front and rear, with matching front inner fenders. Cut and recapped Rubicon Rock Rails to suit. Removed the OEM bumper wings. Also, trimmed (chopped, really) OEM plastic rear inner fenders to give a little protection/deflection while I wait for the Metalcloak versions to arrive.
