Wow...that really sucks. Wonder if it was bad unit?
I just think it's how it's made. No seal, just overlapping plastic with two metal clamps.
I love the mounts, fuel and water cans but the storage box is severely lacking.

To increase the area of flat floor space available for hauling large items.
Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification! - I used something very similar to make the entire soft top quick disconnect.

@jebiruph said: I replaced the torx bolts with knobbed bolts to facility the removal of my non-locking storage wall.

I liked the idea. I carry all kinds of stuff in the back seat floor. So this seemed like a pretty good solution for carrying boxes, suit cases, coolers etc. Well, my amazon order came in today and I too exchanged the Torx bolts with knobs. THANKS!!! ;)

Was putting the top back on (always so sad) and discovered that all jeeps start off gator colored? Those hook things aren't red.
Also discovered little LED lights behind the back seats

99% sure the ones on my Firecracker aren't that color. Interesting. I'll have to check in the morning.

Since it’s brand new and didn’t get a proper delivery cleaning, I gave her a quick wax job. Even with just two quick coats of meguire’s cleaner/wax, I got a lot of trash out of the paint. I turned two wax applicator pads black front and back. It’s a different shade of sting gray now. I did the wheels too. They’re a different color too and got all the factory markings off of them too. Now I feel like it’s reasonably protected now and looks way better. I think it was parked under a tree for a few months. I’ve been cleaning pine straw out of crevices for weeks now. Quick driveway shot.

weird. I never paid attention to that hook but it is grey. I have a GCLE.
Also, has anyone had issues with their blue tooth speaker not charging?

I think the underbody is the same color as well.

Take a look through this forum. Awhile back I saw someone post about wedging some low profile black rubber tubing into crevices to keep pine needles and sand etc. out.

There WAS an issue with alot of them, (mine included).
Go to your Service Dept and they should order you a new one.
