Love reading this forum. I am all over the place, admittedly. I appreciate the honest posts from everyone. Thank you. Last night I watched a show on the Spanish flu of 1918. The response from people, the various responses with some being serious and some wanting bars to stay open, was the same as now. The govt response, with some covering it up and some openly communicating, was the same as today. The basics are that where the thing clusters, those systems are overwhelmed. Try not to get it until there is a vaccine or at least some symptom treatment.

I am also not for a cash check. The govt should provide unemployment relief, pay volunteers to distribute food, and employ a ton of people now to clean up towns and cities, paint or plant trees or whatever, to make cities beautiful again. We could repair a ton of stuff owned publicly. Pay people to go back to school. Whatever. Just use the recovery funds to reform and rebuild.

More crap to add to the paranoia. If we stop putting all our efforts into articles like this and start doing our part to combat the virus then the better off we will be. If it is biological warfare then it is, but it's here now and we got to figure it out. I'm not going to waste my time and energy on worrying about the source but rather the solution, that's what's important to me.

Out west the work of the Conservation Corp is still present! Probably elsewhere too. People still complaining about how the flood control converted cool streams and now they don't run anymore. Always something. Thing is, you build community in times like this. You don't just solve the problem like business would do, because it is efficient. What you could do is create parks, art, Society and civilization. Something extra.

Worth considering. Agree it doesn't matter. One problem with bio is it's likely to be indescriminant. If you let the beast out, it could eat you back in some form or fashion.

Carlson told Vanity Fair that “I didn’t feel it was my role” but was convinced by his wife to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on March 7. Two nights later on his Fox show, he issued a pointed warning to viewers to prepare for the coming storm.

It speaks to both Fox News’ influence with the president and his supporters that a cable news host was able to contact the White House and successfully request the two-hour meeting. Carlson drove to the president’s resort from his Florida home, ironically on the day some guests at Mar-a-Lago were exposed to the virus.

I do find it interesting that many of you seem to want to hold the President responsible for the US response, fair enough. But why haven’t you typed one single word against the President of the country responsible for the global pandemic nor against the WHO for providing false information during the first 8 weeks, and most critical time period to prevent this global pandemic. Neither do you criticize the country responsible for them allowing over 300,000 people to travel to the US and Europe to spread the disease. Neither do you criticize previous US Govt policy for allowing 3,000,000 Chinese visitors to the US on a yearly basis, when we have seen documented history of previous SARS and MERS outbreaks. Neither do you criticize our govt for their previous failures to secure our borders and allowing millions of illegal immigrants into the US, which put a strain on the very healthcare systems that you are so concerned about as we speak. So exactly how do you think by abolishing ICE and removing all immigration standards and giving free healthcare to the globe would work now? Do you not realize that our healthcare system would have become overloaded when literally thousands of infected global citizens got a plane to come here for free healthcare? Would you not leave their their Socialist, Communist or third world healthcare systems that have no way of caring for the thousands of infected?

So, I hope you do not like the little taste of Socialism we are all are getting right now where the govt has to decide what businesses stay open and who gets tested because another Global citizen failed to handle their business just because a certain political party is in power. If you do like this, I have no words of wisdom for you because you don’t appreciate freedom and independence. All some of you seem interested in doing is rubbing your hands together in glee as the economy flails and your friends and family lose their jobs, life savings, retirement income, and your kids sit at home on the internet. So criticize away as it is your right. All true. I'm not happy about any of this though. We need immigration reform and Obama had that chance but flinched. His fault. We need a comprehensive approach to China. I blame the entirety for that failing. The Dems have not shown anything to stand for except individual rights that detract from nationalism. I'm for the nation which allows my freedom. So I voted for Trump. Now, he's lost my vote. One person, one vote. He lost my vote by obviously consorting with Russia. The Republicans lost my vote by allowing Trump to consort with Russia. That's unamerican and treasonous in my opinion. I know well the oath they took to defend against enemies 'foreign and domestic'. They all failed that test of charscter. My opinion. As far as this crisis response, I don't need Trump pretending he understands a health crisis. Obviously he does not and he appears moronic on a daily briefing he reads like English is a second language to him. It's an embarrassment to the nation. As for the fake economy, it's all based on risks I'm not willing to take. Some things need to be warranteed by the fed. Like health care. Like retirement. My opinion. As for technology like artificial intelligence, we have been warned repeatedly that this is the greatest threat to the future because we relinquish fundamental controls using an inherently corruptible platform. I voted for Trump, but I’m not Trumps biggest fan after his grossly unconstitutional bumpstock ban, and him consorting with Democrats to push anti-gun and red flag laws. And the Repubs running our government are nutless and spineless and refuse to stand up to the morally corrupt, power-hungry, and purely evil and dishonest Democrats.

But please tell me how he “consorted with Russia”, despite him releasing the phone transcripts and nothing that was said was illegal or incriminating... And yet Biden (as a sitting VP) threatened Russian officials to fire a certain prosecutor or else the US wouldn’t give them any money, and Obama caught on a hot mic telling Putin “I’ll have more leverage after the election.. “ (or something to that effect)?
