I'm back. Had to. National media says polls aren't moving. I beg to differ. I thank God I'm not alone.

Trump's coronavirus media briefings have become absurd. Here's how to navigate the truth
BILL GOODYKOONTZ | ARIZONA REPUBLIC

Don’t let the routine fool you.

More and more of us are now sitting in our houses, courtesy of the new coronavirus, getting used to the idea that we might be here a while. It’s not normal, but maybe it seems a little less inconceivable, bit by bit.

Still, it’s unnerving. In reality we are watching while the world around us, small and large, shuts down, and we are wondering what comes next.

Actually, forget that. We’re wondering what comes now.

And we need to rethink where we’re getting it, because President Donald Trump’s daily briefing isn’t cutting it.

Trump’s big promises on COVID-19 often fall short
By DEB RIECHMANNtoday

WASHINGTON (AP) — It’s become a fixture of life under quarantine. Almost daily, President Donald Trump appears on television, flanked by officials, to announce his latest maneuver in the fight against the new coronavirus. He typically unveils a dramatic-sounding emergency measure, a solution that appears imminent or a bold promise meant to reassure Americans that he’s got this.

Often, the reality falls short of the promise.

Trump keeps talking during market hours; stocks keep tanking
By AAMER MADHANItoday

WASHINGTON (AP) — When President Donald Trump speaks, financial markets gyrate and quiver in real time.

But that hasn’t stopped the president from holding forth almost daily about the coronavirus pandemic and its economic implications without waiting until markets have closed for the day.

While many of his predecessors worked consciously to not affect the markets, Trump has overtly made market movements and performance a measure of his effectiveness and central to his argument for a second term

You know that is a lie but you refuse to stop telling it. Your TDS is overpowering you're ability to make good decision and be a decent person.

Too bad my request for you guys to take the politics elsewhere has thus far failed. START YOUR OWN THREAD FOR IT! Is no one else sick of seeing it here? Oh, well . . .

GCM Sport S with tow, bedliner, color match fenders, hard top, winter package and auto trans. Spoke to my salesman today, it hasn’t been delivered yet. Still sitting at the delivery hub in NJ I believe. Doesn’t look like I’m going to see it anytime soon. My town (Huntington, NY) seems to be a hotbed for this virus. Most cases on Long Island. Our hospital is getting overwhelmed. So staying healthy is #1 priority right now. ‍♂
Did you get the regular tow pkg or the max? I like the Granite; looks good on the JT. Somehow, it seems a bit less frustrating that it's not sitting at the dealer. Best of luck with it all. Not gonna say much here about the virus; will try to stay positive.

Do you intend to tow anything specific with it? I see the Chevy 2500 in your info; it that used regularly? I have an '06 Suburban 2500 8.1 that I dearly love. I'd like to get a JT to use for a lot of the stuff I use the 'Burbon for. I want to keep that dinasaur as long as I can!

The derailment of this thread had FINALLY died down. Until, @5JeepsAz brought it down (up?) again. Please, please . . . take the politics someplace else. Let this thread be about the poor guy trying to get his hard earned vehicle. Take the whizzing match elsewhere. Start your own darn thread about how the gov't is handling the virus if you want. I'm sick of the diatribe.

Now, where's my bourbon . . .
Bros my bad. I apologize.

I just want to be the first to step up and say I don't dislike anyone on here... It's ok to have opinions that differ from mine... But I see some can't get past that. I'm not even really a Trump supporter at this point. But some of you want to label me as a right-winger. I'm a Constitutionalist...There is a HUGE difference.

But, I just wanted to say, as a fellow JTR owner, I still like this forum and the people here, other than the bullshit welcome I was given being an FNG.

Politics aside we're still all JTR owners. And if YOU don't like that, then get the f*** over it. It's my money, I can buy whatever vehicle I want.

You could have almost lost your wife and children last night...Like a buddy of mine...Who also happens to be a member of this forum, who doesn't ever post here, because he made 1 post, and someone was a douchebag to him about it. His boat capsized (after leaving my house), and they had to swim for their lives to shore. A Yeti cooler saved their lives (it floats), as the women hung on to it, as he grabbed it, and pulled them all to safety. Luckily everyone is safe. People are what's important. My buddy, his wife, and my 2 nieces are what's important. And yet, we still bicker and bitch and gripe about politics, as if it even matters. About "orange man" and about who grabbed what, and who said this and who said that...That' some junior high bullshit, and yall know it. The world has turned politics into the new reality TV show to divide us even more. Time we all get off the Operation Mockingbird tit. Let's all go back to being Gladiator owners and supporting each other for our common interest, instead of being divided over a bunch of out-of-touch corrupt jackass millionaires. I've seen this on MANY forums over the years. Let's all be patriots and Americans again. :like:

I'm in. I enjoy the conversation with you. I also don't want to be the reason anyone tunes out, so I'm self isolating myself from certain orange topics for awhile. It's also good to have someone show me the way back to the pavement when I get off road, so thanks for that. My jeep truck resto is almost done, then I'll have real stuff to contribute. One thing I do know. The people on here are good people. Except the millennials. Well, okay. Even the milllenials on here are good people. Probably.:CWL::LOL::CWL::movember:

Thanks for this brother. This post says a lot about who you are as a person. It takes a certain person to man up and say what you said. Makes me feel even prouder to be a member of this special jeep community we have. Let's get back to what really separates us from all the other vehicle owners. The unity is what keeps me coming back. We can all have different political opinions or disagreements but at the end of the day it shouldn't get in the middle of our brotherhood.
Let's focus our energy on figuring out this crazy mess our country's in right now economically and physically, not bashing each other hiding behind our cellphones or computer screens. I believe we are better than that.

@Alabama Mud Machine I hope everything is ok with your friend and his family. That sounds like it could have turned out real bad. It's crazy how things like that happen and really make you think how short life can be. Stay safe man, I'll say a extra prayer for you and your friend and his family.

:CWL: I coined a phrase on youtube a while back called MIYO....Millennial In Year Only. I grew up hangin with Gen-X'ers and their music, so I'm basically a Gen-X in a millennial body. I'm an old soul. I've been around this planet for millennia.

In the words of Kid Rock... "I've been walking the earth since the beginning of time, and I won't leave 'till I've received that 7th sign...The world's end don't worry me. And I'm going to get where I'm going so stop hurring me. Because I'm in no rush, and I can't stand rushing...Everything is slow motion like I'm tripping on tussin."
