Installed mirror brackets for when doors are off. DIE-TECH mounts for a JK just changed the one bracket that goes behind hinge bolt.

What exactly did you change? Does the hinge bolt not line up?

Did you get the top in recently? I ordered mine two weeks ago and it hasn’t shipped. Getting close to cancelling the order.
Don’t cancel, I just received mine on Saturday. I ordered it on April 24th. I received my tracking number the day before it arrived (but I live in Texas).

Fits like a glove and really cuts back on the harsh sun and wind noise without taking away the open air feel. I better build a ceiling hoist soon, because that top isn’t going back on for awhile.

And also before I get lectured, I do not leave my firearms in the Jeep 98% of the time.

My setup when driving:

When not driving goes with me or in the locked vaultconsole.

Rarely 2% of the time would ever leave it in the Jeep. Most of the time or 98% goes with me.
What lock box is that?

Washed her up and finally got a warm enough day to install the Sunrider that’s been in the basement since February.
Like others have mentioned this is my favorite mod to date!

Are those the Ace Engineering rock sliders? What are your thoughts? How is it as a step? Looks about 3 or 4 inches wide? Looks good and I like that it can leave the Rubi rails in place.

I'm not the person you're asking, but I do have the Ace rock sliders. They are nice. It's a pretty easy install, though removing a couple of the body mount bolts can prove tricky. Suggest you read install threads on them before attempting (though I never had to use any heat for any of the bolts, as others have suggested). As for a step, excellent.

I will say one thing slightly negative: If you're a rock crawler, might take a look at what Shrockworks is doing for the Gladiator. I have the Shrockworks on my JK and they mount much more stoutly than these Ace Engineering do on my JT. I think the Ace solution is fine for typical overlanding, but if you're planning to tackle serious rock crawling where you're leaning the rail up against a boulder to make a tight turn, you'd want the strongest possible solution.

My Gladiator, shot by Laura M. That's not me driving, that's Laura's husband. I'm down below setting up to shoot video of the descent down a steep, rocky slope on the way out to Guale 2 at Big Bend Ranch State Park in Texas ....

My JK shot by Ray B. That is me, north of the Arctic Circle on the way to Deadhorse, Alaska on the Arctic Ocean ...

Thanks, yes they are. Suit my needs as mine is mainly a driver and not much off-road so wanted the function of a step for my wife to get in and out. Works fine for that purpose. Was a little worried about the body mount bolt issues that others have had when breaking them loose but wasn’t an issue for me. Fit my budget and like that you can keep the Rubi rails as well.

Is the safe in the console just a cover or does it have sides? I had one in my JK that had metal sides that slide into the console and secure to the floor of the Jeep with the console screws. Wondering if this is the same
Yes, goes down the sides too and bolts in the sides, not just a top. My wife has one in her JK as well from Vaultconsole.com. Not cheap, but worth it and good quality for valuables.

Got my Yakima side rails put up for my water and fuel rotopax, as well as, recovery boards. I had to do some slight modifications seeing that with my roof top tent and my sons bike rack that goes on top of the rack I couldn’t clear the water Pax on the inside of the same rail. I also didn’t want to loose space inside the back of the truck.
I decided to mount the water pax underneath one of the HD bars. I like this set up as it makes everything super easy to get too. This gives me additional 4 gallons of fuel and 4 gallons of water. We are prepping for a 8 day camping trip traveling down the Blue Ridge Parkway camping along the way and plan to end up In Tennessee along the fort Patrick Hebert lake. Of course BASH my sidekick is always up to help me out with the Jeep!

Correct. Cut the arm bracket off installed on hinge and clamped into place removed and tacked and then test fit before fulling welding in. Only problem is it came powder coated, just sprayed with flat black and matched pretty close and its on back side so hard to see. Mirrors work good. Just sit little lower than stock.

Added an SAE cord to my Aux 4 to plug random items into as needed. Labeled the inside Aux 4 with SAE with white print/clear label from my brother labeler. Label looks cleaner in person vs. the flash on the phone.
