Is it me, or does the Jeep windshield soak up way more bugs?

Have you noticed how monstrous the washer tank is on Jeeps? It will take over a gallon if it's empty.

I feel like my windshield is covered in bug guts. I’ve don’t remember it ever being this bad on any other vehicle I’ve owned. I’m assuming it’s the steeper angle of the Jeep windshield. Y’all notice this? I’m not sure how effective they are, but it might be time to actually look into a bug deflector.
this is my first Jeep and it was super obvious right away. way more bugs.

I’ve owned five Jeeps, all were lifted and all were bug magnets. It’s the angle of the windshield.

I'm from Alberta Canada (grew up there, drove 7 years there). Where a lot of roads don't get salted, they don't get plowed. They just put gravel and small rocks on the snow and you drive on it and just pack it down because it won't melt until end of may maybe June.

So EVERYONE'S windshield is cracked and shattered and EVERYONE'S front end is rock chipped to hell. Our insurance companies will not replace a windshield, none of them will. You cannot even find coverage for it because they guarantee your windshield break.

After a 3 hour drive here in Maine on the highway I can barely see thru the bug guts on mine......
Keep glass cleaner and paper towels in the truck.
Hello fellow Maine Gladiator!
I put turtle wax on my windshield and it helps.

I can windshield wipe a lot of the bugs off, or 70-80% of the worst ones and then hose the rest off at home. I get a microfiber out only once per week for the most stuck ones.

I'm not on highways a lot though. Just roads around unity, China, Albion, Freedom (near a lot of farms and fields)

Many US states require insurance companies to provide glass coverage, mine does. You can opt out, but it has to be offered first as included. The price is regulated based on actuarial numbers.

In Florida, you only get windshield coverage if you have Comprehensive. But if you do, zero deductible on glass.

I am on windshield number 3 (12000 miles) even with a bug deflector. But it's natural in New Mexico. Went with a racing optics windshield tear off this time ($199). Has saved me at least 5 times since. Can not even tell it's there. Takes a little bit more to get it clean but we'll worth the money.

If it is all about the windshield angle .... maybe there is some usefulness behind the ridiculous "squat" look to be found .... I would rather have a cracked windshield though than to lower that back end !

I used to think that Chevy in particular had a problem with rear springs. Now I'm pretty sure it's really that idiots modify them that way more than other brands.
