I've got a 2020 with about 4500 miles on it. The damn thing has burped every fill up. It has me conditioned to look for a pump that has the paper towel dispenser full before I'll use that particular pump.

Only had it happen once in 2000 miles. Was a pump that had a very fast fill.

So, I have about 4500 miles on my 2020 Rubicon and it has never happened, not even a hint of it.

I've only had this happen once at a gas station that I think had very high powered gas pumps. It seemed to fill in a hurry compared to most, so I wrote it off to that. NEver had the problem at Shell or Exxon which are my go to stations.

So weird. I've had it happen like 5 or 6 times. Sometimes it happens at my local gas station, sometimes not, with the same pump. No rhyme or reason.

I had that problem a few times. I learned to keep the nozzle mashed against the filler stop for the complete fill up. It always fills up all the way with no splash. Just keep it inserted against the stop. Hope it works for you too.

There's a guide on the inside of the door of the fuel port that pretty much tells you to leave the nozzle in for 10 seconds after filling up. Try and see if that helps.

it burps before I even take the nozzle out. There's gotta be an issue with an air pocket in the design of the gladiator tank. Doesn't seem like its a "fixable" thing, but more like a weird quirk. I've just learned to bring some spray detailer with me everywhere and some paper towels/microfibers.

The notorious Jeep inlet check valve issue. It's been a problem for at least 10 years. There are aftermarket products that can be installed if having the Dealer address it isnt possible.

any idea what those could be product-wise? I have a nice little list for my dealer when I go back.

It pukes gas as it’s clicking off. Not after.

What aftermarket products do you speak of.

Update, reached out to the dealer as I needed to get an oil change and rotation (Jeep Wave FTW!)

When I mentioned I wanted them to look at it burping gas, they immediately conferred with someone and then came back and said I'll need to leave it with them. Gotta assume this is a widespread issue just from their reply. I drop it off in a week and a half so we'll see.

I've had this happen a few times, nothing major. Enough gas to either drip a little or maybe a mouthful. I take the windshield squeegee thing and put the window fluid on the jeep and mop it up with paper towels. I just try to stick it in as far as it will go, which isn't as far as my old car. Meh.
