Finally finished up the steel bumper and winch installation. I waited for a steel bumper to show up on OfferUp and Craigslist, but no luck. Now that I bought one, there will be probably be new listings for them (for real cheap). A shoutout to the folks at BAM! After scouring the internet, I even considered the ones on eBay - but backed out when I remembered my experience with a knockoff Hardrock/ 10th anniversary bumper (cheap fasteners, misaligned holes, different hole pattern than Mopar, etc.). BAM had them for the cheapest but they were on backorder, but I got it within a couple weeks. They are very responsive, they even answer emails on Sundays! My hats off to their customer service - not too many retailers like them.

Found a Mopar steel skid plate on eBay (brand new in box for $80 w/ shipping).

I went with a Warn winch mount mounting plate. It fit perfect, and no swear words were used during installation.

I went with a Warn EVO VR 10 (steel cable). After changing the cable for a Ranger synthetic line, it was still quite a bit cheaper than buying the 10S. I also changed the fairlead to an XBull aluminum and went with a larger (and much nicer) Badland hook. It fits really nice behind the EAG license plate mount. The Warn winch mount comes with a nice fairlead adapter that has a license plate mounting tab on the bottom - really nice feature, but I like the EAG mount better. When using the winch, you can mount the license plate mount upside down, and out of the way.

ATP winch guard/bumper hoop on the way. Wanted something slightly taller than the Mopar winch guard.

Update 8-24-20: The ATP winch guard/bumper hoop finally arrived today. Much taller than the Mopar one and allows easy access to the tow hooks. The finish matches the color and texture of the steel bumper. Very happy with the results.

Looks great, like the additional mods. I have them bookmarked for a future bumper purchase.

Added some Rubicon Rock Rails I snagged to hide the unsightly body seams.

Also ran a USB cable under the center console and up behind the HVAC controls for more discrete phone connectivity.

For those that carry...… No comments needed from those that don't please
"His" and "Hers" lockable gun safe's.....got the Hornady boxes from Midway for about $25 each. They will each get the 2 bolts that hold the rear under seat box (bolted to frame/body) drilled and bolted thru the bottom portion of the safe. Foam padding covers the bolts and protects your "valuables".... I'll just have to get longer bolts......pretty straight forward. I'll post the size bolts needed when I do the install. Obviously NOT recommended for permanent storage, BUT there are times when carrying that your restricted on the where/when.... (NO in WalMart, etc.) this is a viable alternative to driving all the way back home, or having Momma "wait outside", and they fit perfect under the back seat !

Love this idea!

A few questions:
What length of lightning cable did you use for this, and how hard was it to route?
Did you create a post with any pics when you were doing it?
What is that phone holder and would you recommend it?

Looking at options as I just bought my Gladiator.

I use these in my vehicles, less clanking and the security cable setup is the best I've seen.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XRD61CC/

I have too much gear stored in the bin, and it's easy to get to under the seat without impinging too much on footwell space.

Bummer for us that it's an issue, isn't it?

Exactly. I used a good quality 6' cable - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JXXVP3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Previous posts mention that some cheap cables won't read from the console USB port. No problem with this one. I can snap some pics of where I routed it later tonight.

And I love the 67 Designs holder. Super solid. I've used RAM mounts in other vehicles but am a 67 convert. https://www.67d.com/collections/jl-...ns/products/jeep-jl-mount-driver-edition-pack
