Outstanding information here. Thanks to those that uncovered the solution. Bought the 3 parts, installed and did the JScan update and I now have drivers side proximity lock. It's nice to not have to get the remote out of my pocket anymore.

Thanks for the part numbers and link. Do you know which door wiring harness is needed for the passenger side? There are five part numbers listed:

Is this for a JT or a JL? Gladiators don’t have a swing gate. If it is for a JL it is missing the handle and cap for the swing gate.

I ASSUME that if you use the driver door handle to LOCK or UNLOCK the truck, that it would also unlock the tailgate?

Just want to be sure I can touch the driver door handle, for example, and it will unlock all locks.

I don't really care a lot that I can't touch the tailgate handle to unlock it - but want to be sure that touching either front door handle will indeed UNlock the tailgate if I have a load of stuff to put back there.

This will depend on how you have the settings in “doors and locks” in the radio. It you have it set to unlock all on first press of the remote it will unlock all doors when you grasp the handle.

This will depend on how you have the settings in “doors and locks” in the radio. It you have it set to unlock all on first press of the remote it will unlock all doors when you grasp the handle.

That's what I assumed and hoped and thought.......... that's how I set mine, but not my wife's (she has proximity locks on her GC - I told her to do DRIVER DOOR ONLY on hers)

Just finished the install, very easy and works great with the jscan doing the settings. I used the 68299333AF harness (BSM) even though I don't have the BSM, and still works no problems. The harness for without BSM is always backordered, if not discontinued, so this is the solution. A top mod imo.

Curious how you were able to do this. Evidently I incorrectly purchased 333AF thinking it was universal. However there is one pin (I think for the locks) that is completely different. The original has 4 pins across. While 333AF has a second row of 4 more ports.
