Where’d you get your bed rack setup? I’m looking at something similar with my roll top cover.
I got the Front RUNNER phone number front their website. I worked with a rep from FrontRunner named Farinn. She was patient and helped me put together just what I needed. I don't think that you can just order the crossbars with the tee slot mounts from the website.

I installed a curt front recriver hitch on my Mojave to carry a surf rod rack it fits fine but did require trimming the remote shock bracket and losing one bolt on each bracket, hitch went on quick really nice setup.....then I did battle with the skid plate for hours trimming little bit at a time, then at the very end it was looking like the hitch would block the skid plate, but it fit. In the end it looks like a huge hole but to put it in and pivot it and get around the braces on hitch that is what has to be done! Surf rack is about three inches higher then I’m used to, so I’ll keep the 11’and 12’ rods on the roof rack to avoid hitting stop lights.

I’ll take measurements of the hitch cutout on skid plate for others to work off of...Jack
Can I ask a stupid question?
Why do all these surf racks I see people post have to be mounted on a front hitch? Wouldn’t it be easier to rear hitch mount them? I mean it’s a cool use of wasted space, just requires some extra work.

Surf racks can be mounted at rear, I did one that way once, you can’t see your rods to avoid low hanging things , outta sight outta mind! Most guys work out of the back of their trucks, can get very busy there, no where to have a rack and cooler in your way. Four guys cutting bait and if it’s busy we’ll cut bait at rod rack and back. Front just better, but always a pain to set up.

Bought and installed the Harbor Freight 12k synthetic line winch. A bit more of a pain than I wanted but it is in and all good. I first attempted to not take off the bumper but ended up having to as it was too much with it on. I painted the fairlead to match the rest of my orange. The switch is mounted to a scrap piece of steel I had and cut to fit. I also relocated the power wire from the back to the side. I can't remember who but it was done here first and I wish I could remember who it was. A great idea and makes it a much easier fit next to the grill.

That sheet is awesome. I hate how scalloped the stock gate is.
It seems like a good use of space, just takes time to do.
There are swing away hitches that seems like they would work, too.

I look at all these overland setups and it’s so focused on bed/tailgates. The front is a good use of space though

I had plans of getting my winch rewired and my bumper reinstalled but the friggin temperature never got above 45 degrees and after about 15 minutes out in it I said screw this and retreated back inside. Inside with nothing to do is always dangerous.
Damn...
It gets to 45º here, and I'm out working in the heat wave!

Ive only ever used my rack o the back of the truck. For me it makes the most sense since, here in DE, we are required to back in any way so our surf tag is easily visible on the front. I like the idea of the front rack since it doesn't make your rear end even longer, which can be a bit of an annoyance for traffic. But other than that I think its just a preference

its quirky but I actually enjoy the look of the mopar lift with the regular tires. Really accentuates the fact that it's lifted.

Well, they wanted to give me a few dollars back for the ill-fitting tube steps. I didn’t accept the offer and requested a refund. Haven’t heard anything, complete radio silence! Don’t recommend doing business with them at all.

I had the same thing happen with my passenger side N-FAB step. The driver side went on perfectly, but the passenger side looked like your driver's side. I sent them pictures and they immediately sent out a new set that was perfect. I would give them a chance to make it right. I really like them.

I genuinely admire people that can actually modify material and equipment like this. I have attempted to "Macgyver" electrical solutions a few times with decidedly mixed results.
