Installed the much debated Mopar intake to compliment my Pulsar. Ended up being a noticeable power increase up top, pedal feel is improved, and it sounds “just right”. Not too loud, not to obnoxious, but a nice tuned v6 sound when you stand on it. Im pleased.

first MPG test tomorrow on my standard short loop. Long loop test later this week. Curious to see where I end up with this and the pulsar Combined on 37’s.

Is this the one where you have to cut the hood or am I thinking something else? If so can you post pics of that? Thank you!

It is, although the vent doesnt fit a Mojave hood Supposedly. It looked like you could maybe get it to fit, but i elected not to cut the hood. Cant see myself cutting the hood unless I decide to so a snorkel at some point

Finally... this is an auto correct? If so, are you able to hold 8th? Id be happy to just see it..once.

After some time can you add more to your thoughts? Towing, MPG +/-, how it does at 65+ mph.

Im on 35's with 3.73. Never seen 8th with them, only see 7th if 60 mph or below or with a very strong tailwind....dont have any hills to speak of here but I see 7th going down an over pass, lol.

I tow from time to time, nothing extreme, a couple thousand pounds...mainly cause my tandom weighs close to 1500 lbs. Have considered 4.88 but day to day driving just would like to get more input on 4.56.

Thanks

Kudos for doing the swap!

I just 35's, was thinking going with 37's and 5.13 gears...but after mocking up a 37 and thinking of my current setup... it'll be tight. I just have 2.5" leveling lift on front. I just don't have the budget to go higher right now.

on 3.73, i only see 8th when on perfectly flat with a tailwind. 6th and 7th most times on the highway. Mileage (mpg) so far seems to be the same. I tow as well, so I'm getting 4.88's. Just waiting on parts. I'll keep you posted if you're interested.

I installed a curt front recriver hitch on my Mojave to carry a surf rod rack it fits fine but did require trimming the remote shock bracket and losing one bolt on each bracket, hitch went on quick really nice setup.....then I did battle with the skid plate for hours trimming little bit at a time, then at the very end it was looking like the hitch would block the skid plate, but it fit. In the end it looks like a huge hole but to put it in and pivot it and get around the braces on hitch that is what has to be done! Surf rack is about three inches higher then I’m used to, so I’ll keep the 11’and 12’ rods on the roof rack to avoid hitting stop lights.

I’ll take measurements of the hitch cutout on skid plate for others to work off of...Jack
Audacious and cool. I like to see those ideas. Shows the versatility for what you can do with you gladiator.
