Those lucky folks that are walking away with keys at this price point - What do you think the biggest deciding factors were? Pre-approved financing, fat down payment, dashing good looks? I know I have 2/3 of these but just want to go in prepared as best as possible next month when mine gets delivered.

It's all about the dealership.
I'll honestly be happy with 5-6 but I'm crossing my fingers for 7. Just really hoping I don't have to play hardball and walk away after waiting so long for it to be built.

It's definitely about the dealership. The one i used advertised the lowest price and was the furthest away from me. Though they played a few games when closing the deal. I sold cars in my youth so went in prepared to haggle with financing. If I had selected 0% financing, which I qualified for, then I would have not gotten any other discounts other than the standard that Jeep had been offering,

I worked out the final price to the penny before ordering mine. I didn't think you even could order without signing a price sheet.

I'm planning on financing through my local credit union at 2.49% which is the lowest in my area by far along with 7.5-8k down.

My dealership specifically said they do the pricing/financing once it's on the lot that way they can apply the most current deals and incentives. I had to give a 1k check in good faith to actually place the order but they don't cash it until it's actually mine.

I would check and see if the dealer can do the same, they may be willing to deal/haggle. They make a good chunk of change with financing. Just a thought.

Best in FL I could find ... 6% below invoice at New Smyrna CJDR ask for Chase Firestone mgr ... Price agreed upon at time the order was placed .. incentives and APR determined at time of delivery, based on what's offered upon arrival ...

This sounds a little sketch, like they're going to wait until the exact gladiator that you custom ordered is sitting in front of both of you before negotiating a price? They're hoping you'll be a sucker, IMO. You've gotta nail down at least some of the pricing details sooner rather than later.

My closest dealer tried to tell me that they couldn't go below invoice, and that they would get in trouble if corporate found out they showed me the invoice price.

The buying process is such a PITA. I mean I like that this forum gives me access to some good advice and discounts, but it would be so much easier if it was a transparent process.

I've never ordered a car before and only found this forum after the fact. I clarified the process at the time with 3 separate people but due to how many folks are saying they did it before hand has caused me to email the my POC and ask to iron it out.

Same, I feel like the information gained here is super valuable. Get it in writing and/or be ready to go to one of the forum dealerships to get the best price.

Just got off the phone with a different salesman at the same location and he provided the exact same information as the previous folks. He's gonna email it to me as well.

They’re not wrong, but there’s almost always a $1500 rebate on Sport trims, though they do change monthly. I made sure I had a base price of 5% off invoice, plus 1% for having an FCA control number before going forward. Good idea to join Tread Lightly for that extra 1% discount. You’ll need to have membership for at least 30 days before the discount will apply.
