The Mojave style hood does not have a functional scoop and if made so, is facing the wrong way IMO. Do what wing designers do-tape some pieces of yarn across the hood and watch how they orient to the air flow. I would not be surprised if they went vertical near the front because you are flying a brick. That indicates a negative pressure area. Great for extraction, not intake. Do a video. I do not object to being proven wrong. But the engineers already went off limits with the Mojave then. What's stopping them from offering something like that on diesel models? A hood supposedly designed for more efficient cooling.
