Today I put my carpets and all my crap back into the truck after finding the front passenger carpet basically under water two days ago. It wasn't just soaked, but had standing water under the carpet when I pulled it up. So, I yanked everything out and used towels and a fan to dry things up since its been 70% humidity and off/on rain here for the last week (about 8 inches in less than a week with thunder storms) .

I still do not know where the pond..... ahhhh..... I mean water came from. The floor/firewall looks sealed up. And, I hadn't driven it in the rain in over a week. I did find a few drops by the back window but they didn't make it to the carpet under the rear window as it was dry. Although, the rear passenger carpet was slightly damp. But I typically park in my driveway facing down hill (on a decent grade). And, I'm thinking when I did drive it the other day (when it was not raining) the pooled water wicked some to the rear.

I removed and reinstalled the freedom panels just to see if they needed to be re-seated. But, I haven't had them off in over a year (and had no leaks prior to this week) so I'm not sure if they were the source of the leak. A dowse of water from a hose after I re-installed them and they were not leaking. I guess I should have tried that before I removed them but I was in a hurry to yank things out and get it dried.

Anyway, if anyone has had enough water on the front passenger floor to take a bath (okay maybe not that bad but you get the idea) please let me know what you found.....

Installed fox performance shocks (holy crap they’re a night and day improvement over the rubi shocks i had on!)

installed sumo springs front bump stops. I had 2 in front bump stop extensions but ended up not using them. The added length of the sumo springs bumps made up the difference. I will probably do a hockey puck at some point though.

also put on 2in extended front sway bar ends.

and, as usual, i ended up hurting my self while working on the truck...par for the course.

This time i punched my self in the face when I lost grip in a wrench and gave myself a bloody nose. Then shortly after wrecked my left thumb with a wrench. Just a bloody mess, which my wife thought was hilarious since I pretty much always have some errant injury. So she snapped a pic.

enjoy:asshat:

I remember you having the Ironrock 2” lift. So which length shocks did you install? The Fox 2.0 for 2-3” lift?

Yep. I got them off another forum member. I took off the shock extension brackets before putting them on. The ride quality is drastically improved

Did you have to make any cuts or was it all bolt up? Seriously considering this as my next mod after seeing how cheap it is. How's the sound, any bad drone?

Installed Garmin dash cam.
— I Put down the windshield to facilitate running the wires through the trim. Very clean install, pretty proud of this one.

Installed the rear view relocation “fix”
— followed the instructions of another forum member to lift the mirror up higher while still being able to use the angle change for night driving.

I also included pics of the shocks and bump stops i bleed for then other day.

Matthew, Let me know what you think of the Garman after you use it a while. You can PM me so we don't Hi-jack this thread. Also did you hurt yourself with the install?

I could write an annual book with all the miss-haps and random injuries I get each year. Ive just accepted im the reason OSHA and medical aid units exist.

I'll be wrenching on my Jeep this weekend. Always good for a smashed finger or two. Gonna play it smart this time and buy an impact wrench to loosen the control arm bolts. Last few times I just used a breaker bar and brutane strength.

A piece of advice…dont pull the bar or wrench directly towards your face. Doesn’t seem to end well

Future gladiator?
Wife and Kids were complaining it was too high to get into, so found some inexpensive Tyger steps on amazon. Pulled off the sliders and put these on, was surprised at how easy it all was. Only took about an hour to get the old ones removed and the steps put on.

Not pictured, also got a Tyger tri-fold put on for some extra dry storage.
