Hey guys I have an 80th anniversary edition and finally decided to order the 1.5 inch teraflex leveling kit. Will I be able to add the full 1.5 inch and not need anything else added? I'm pretty green with all these things and I have read some people mentioning needing an adjustable track bar. Will I need this or any additional parts with only adding the 1.5 inches? Also, I can just do the steering wheel alignment in the driveway? I don't need to bring it anywhere afterwards? Thanks!

No adjustable trackbar needed.
Yes on steering wheel adjustment. Google Jeep drag link adjustment. Very easy to do with basic hand tools.
How are the Tigers going to be this year? I just saw a video of Coach O jogging. Well it was more like speed walking. He's a character.

General consensus is lift 2” and below do not need an adjustable track bar. As mentioned above, you can easily adjust the drag link yourself and realign the steering wheel.
One thing that will improve handling but is not a must is the lower control arms from the Mopar lift kit. They are slightly longer and add back some caster that is lost from raising the suspension. While they are designed to work with the 2” gained from the Mopar lift, they work well with the 1.5 inch level as the JT (and JL) both have fairly low caster from the factory and can benefitfrom the increase. If you look around you can find the set of 2 arms for about $60 which is money well spent.

Thanks for the response. I appreciate it.
Yeah he's something else. Hopefully the season will be more like 2019 and less like 2020.i think we'll be much better than last year.

Is adding the longer control arms necessary though? Will my truck still handle like normal? Will it mess anything up if I leave the stock ones?

Not necessary at all. It’s just an improvement and since you’re supposed to loosen the lower control arms to install the level kit, may as well replace them while you’re there.
Your Jeep will still drive fine if you don’t replace them, no worries there. Nothing will be “wrong” or “messed up” if you leave the stock LCAs in. Again it’s just one of those upgrades that is nice to have but not needed.

as good as it will drive with them, given their cost, and how easy they are to add, yes, you want them. Big steering / tracking difference

i have them with a 1" spacer and my jeep tracks and steers notably better than stock. Dead straight down the interstate and little to no wind issues

Man, I hadn't even considered that. Thank you so much! I'll add this to the list of parts to make even just a spacer lift that much better.

Ok thanks - makes sense. I was hoping to just be able to throw the 1.5 inch spacers on and be done for now. Just want to get rid of the rake and make it sit level.

And you’d be perfectly fine to do just that. My personal opinion though is that for the $60 the Mopar lift LCAs make a big improvement and since you’ve already got the stock ones loose to install the level kit, may as well take the extra 20 minutes to install them. Time and money well spent

If you do decide to install, do one side at a time. Don’t remove both the stock ones at once. You’ll make a lot more work for yourself.

Any idea of cost for installation and does the dealer do it?

Thanks for the recommendation for adding the Mopar Lift LCA's! Just ordered them as my Teraflex level kit came in today!

Dealer may or may not do it. I’d imagine they would try and tell you your warranty would be void because it’s not the Mopar lift kit.
It’s reportedly about 2 hours of work for a shop with the lift setup and all the good tools. One local to me said $270 to do the level and LCAs.
Ive seen some say they did it in their driveway in 3-4 hours, so it’s your call to make.
