The Mojave on 33 AT tires did great pulling wide ~3000lb trailer across Raton pass Colorado Saturday. I dropped down to 3rd gear 3-4 times to maintain 65-70. This high revving engine real power band starts at 4500 so I'm not stressing on that.

This is a 8foot wide low trailer with flapping tarps but even with headwind I was usually in 6th most of the trip.

Stock 2021 80th, hit 24 mpg over the weekend on a road trip to the middle of VA. Cruise set at 60 - 65 for most of the trip. Best mileage I've managed so far.

Forgot to mention. MPG average at 15.7 by time I arrived. This included some bad wind conditions across West Texas.

So, I put on my 35” ridge grapplers last night and measured them at about 34” after install. When I went to adjust my tire size on JScan, the computer had my stock 33” MT’s at 33.03”. I know that’s not the actual size once installed, so I wonder if that has some effect on my computers MPG reading around 13.8 with stock Mojave?

Average overall fuel mileage, with combined city and highway driving, for my Mojave with a 2.5" lift and 37s, but otherwise stock, over the last several thousand miles, is 14.8 mpg. This does not include towing. Towing even a small 900 lb. utility trailer with an 800 lb. ATV on it causes fuel mileage to drop to 8 mpg. At 70 mph on the interstate the transmission stays in 4th or 5th gear, with engine RPM at 4500 to 5000 all the time. I even tried manually upshifting the automatic transmission, and a message on the dash says "shift not allowed".

And now, just for perspective ... I normally do all my towing with my 2019 Ram 3500 Cummins powered pickup. But the Ram was hooked to our toy hauler, so I just hooked the utility trailer to my Gladiator that day. The Ram will tow our 40' fifth wheel toy hauler that is as tall as a semi-truck trailer, and weighs 17,000 lbs, over the same section of interstate, at the same speed, in high gear at 1600 RPM. While the Gladiator is getting 8 mpg towing 1,700 lbs, the Ram gets 10 mpg towing 17,000 lbs. The Ram gets 15 mpg towing the utility trailer with the ATV on it, but that is at 80 mph, not 70 mph like I drove with the Gladiator.

Moral of the story, ... take the time to unhook your diesel from the toy hauler.

I was worried, too, but my GPS speed matches my speedo perfectly so I think they have it dialed in. (2021 Mojave as well)

How long have you been driving? Mine was 13-14 the first week or so, now after week 3 it's up to 16.5. I drive pretty reasonably, I could see it being low if I continued driving like my old RAV4.

I took delivery on 6/17. I baby this thing, rarely go over 3k RPM unless I need to go up a decent hill, which isn’t very common. Most of my driving is in a small town. I have a second job where I pick up a few weekend shifts that is about 30 miles away and mostly rural driving between 25-55 MPH.

The initial tire size being off from the factory plays a slight role I’m sure. While there are many other factors in play considering MPG’s, I just find it crazy the varying (and drastic) fuel economies reported. Some guys with lifts on 37’s with no regearing getting 17+. I’m honestly expecting 11-12 MPG’s since putting on my 35’s yesterday. I can afford it, but some people can’t and I think it’s important that people know what to possibly expect.

I agree, it's important for people to know what they're getting into. I assumed when I purchased that I'd be getting 16-22 like the sheet said. It's a stretch to say it's getting 16+ under ideal driving conditions on the highway and that really ticked me off for a while.

I checked my tire size as well, and I can't recall exactly but I think it was like 1" off from a "direct measurement". GPS is showing a perfect match with the speedo at high speeds (75+), though. I'm relying more on hand calculations than what my dash is telling me, this morning it went up to 16.9 and I'm not sure I believe that.

I'm doing a 60/40 mix of highway/city driving, no mods other than a tonneau cover I put on last week and a yakima cross-bar rack on the roof with a wind fairing.

Tires play a big role in MPG but so does breakin miles. MPG should start to rise after 3k or so. I think these things may take 5-7k to really loosen up.

Agreed. The differences between mpg is rediculous. I suspect guys that get 17+ mpg are driving slower than my grandma. If I watch myself constantly, I'll get 14.5 on 37s. If I don't pay attention and just enjoy my daily commute, I'll get 13-13.5.

I don't drive like my grandmother. She always drives 45 mph. Whether in the supermarket parking lot, school zone or the highway. Always 45 mph. Always.

I get 18 mpg consistently on 35's at 37 psi. I drive like a normal person.

70 MPH or less, lots of elevation and wind, Mojave with 37s @ 25 psi & 4.10s getting 15-16 MPG. Same as my previous bone stock '18 F-150, I'm happy with it.

This sounds about right.

That seems about right. My MJT on 33 AT at elevation averages right at 20 running under 65-70. Headwinds make a huge difference. 23+ with the wind. 17+ against it.

I'm normally around 68 in a 70 mph zone. 72 when it's 75. Not a grandma driver but not killing myself to get somewhere either. This is my last 1800 miles. There's a few small trips in there (100 to 200 miles one way) a bunch of in town and back and forth to work which was 21 miles one way. Sport S, stock tires, no lift and hard bed cover.
