Yeah I had a family emergency come up and won't make it over there until Saturday now. I'd be a lot more distraught over it if something had actually be announced, ya know? I think the extreme recon is there so that might be neat to see.
Ah man sorry to hear that, hope everything is alright.

Yes sir, something needs to drop soon. A couple dealerships have told me November or December now. But with a couple ppl on the forums saying August or September. My fingers are still crossed.

Appreciate it. Nothing too crazy, sometimes other priorities just pop up.

But - I did make it over today! New post here.

Nice post on the auto show! So no one would slip at all on 22 stuff. Stinks they couldn’t even give you a possible date.

No, I would really doubt anyone on the floor even knew anything to let slip, ya know? But I don't blame them; if they announced something cool for 2022 but then didn't have any of it to show off at the show, people would be disappointed, right? Bronco was there, but the production difficulties were palpable. They only had 8 total at the show, combining 2-door and 4-door counts. By comparison there were tons of JLs and JTs (Even in discontinued colors- lookin at you, Nacho). Toyota's 2021 Tundras looked like wallflowers - no one was looking and I would bet that's because we've all seen the 2022s now.

I don’t need features announced yet. All I’m asking for is a damn date lol!!! But I completely get it.

What’s killing me is every time I go on a auto website, whether it be autoblog, motortrend, motor1 etc. I feel like I always see some automaker announcing a new 22 model. And I just want to freaking scream!!! When is it going to be our turn?!?!?!?

I want this to be the case. It'll probably be a huge letdown though... UConnect5 and colors are the outer limits of my current expectations, and I only give UConnect5 about 60%... It wouldn't surprise me one iota to discover (though I'd be thrilled to be wrong) that the 4XE Gladiator was an ad department photoshop screwup, and there's actually nothing coming until the next generation.

...

There was more pessimistic prognostication, but it was just a bit too Debbie Downer to escape the delete key. I hope I'm wrong. And I hope I'm wrong soon.

I'll admit, if I jump in & order a '22 JT as soon as I can, and next spring they announce a straight-6 twin-turbo hybrid, I will be a bit jelly. But I would be shocked if that happens, more like they stick the 2.0L in there or to a lesser extent the current 3.6L + hybrid.
I suppose there is a reasonably good chance they continue to skip earthy colors, in that case I am not sure what I'd do lol

Even if all that changes is uConnect 5 I would be good with it. I just think it's time for some revisions or updates to the platform.

I still think they don't want to update to MY 2022 until after the current car show circuit because they don't have the manufacturing capacity to show off that many new Jeeps at once. I mean, would they drive you around a loop in a 2021 but then have a single 2022 on a pedestal on the convention floor? I just don't know.
