I am new to this forum and actually a new Jeep owner (1 month old). Never owned a 4x4 in my life. I was actually impressed with the quality of the Gladiator build and with the features and technology also. Since I bought it on July 6, I had 3 issues already..

First was the backup camera "not available". The screen would turn blue if you shift to reverse or when you turn it on in the apps.

Second was the loose steering. It drifted quite a bit especially at highway speed.

I had service take a look. The backup camera was fixed but the "loose steering" was normal according to them. I was disappointed to find out that as bad as the steering was, it was within their standards. I had a Synergy Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace installed. I learned from other Jeep owners that this was a good fix and the steering seems to have improved. It set me back $ 580 tho.

Third is the Screen going blank (but the rear camera works). I found some resetting procedures but none of them worked. I also pulled out the fuse and no go...
When I do the reset where you press the Volume and Tune buttons at the same time for a few seconds then release, "Jeep" would show up for a couple seconds then the left temperature setting flashes...

I scheduled it for an appointment after I found out that trying to talk to a technician was in vain. I was hoping they would tell me that it only needed to be reset and we can get it done on the phone...I guess not.

Maybe some of the members here had experienced it and what they did...

Thank you everyone.

What size screen? Search and you'll find many threads on the loose steering. The main fix is by the new steering box, but if yours is 2021 then maybe you could get one under warranty. Otherwise deflate the tires to 35 or 36psi, which might help.

It's the larger screen (8.4). Service said I have the new steering box but like I said they said it's "normal" and therefore no fix is needed...

Thanks and I'll go check out threads on loose steering..

Check your tire pressure...for some reason the dealers inflate them to 40-44 PSI. Lower it down to 37 or 38 and it will feel more stable.

Sad about the 8.4, haven't had that issue with mine. Hopefully dealership makes it right.

If you haven’t had it that long and didn’t get the most recent OTA update you should see it soon. Fixes a lot of backup cam issues.

Thanks for all the input. I checked tire pressure and they’re all about 36 psi. At least they got that part right..
The backup camera is actually working now but the entire screen is blank.

I will try that too if it's still wiggly. I haven't really driven it after I picked it up from the dealer. Thanks.

...so they lowered it to 36 just before you picked it up, or it was at 36 when you took it in? I think it needs to be 37 or you will get warning message to inflate to 37 PSI...unless there is a few PSI "forgiveness"?

It doesn't come on right at 36 psi. You can go down at least a few psi before the light comes on.

Inflate to the pressure on the door sticker.
I put on new tires and the engineer with General said to inflate my new tires (different size from stock) to 33.
No warnings.
Underinflating tires just to feel better about them results in excess heat, excess wear, potential blowouts.
If the steering is actually "loose" it's not tires. That's a different feeling than play in the steering wheel.

If it's the stock tires the Overland like mine comes with - 38 is correct - confirmed by chalk test. Door sticker likely says 38.
32 will be drastically underinflated and the tires won't last long. Underinflating to resolve other issues is risky at the least, unsafe at the worst.

We've found that some of the new steel steering gear also have a loose wandery feel.
