I am new to this forum and actually a new Jeep owner (1 month old). Never owned a 4x4 in my life. I was actually impressed with the quality of the Gladiator build and with the features and technology also. Since I bought it on July 6, I had 3 issues already..
First was the backup camera "not available". The screen would turn blue if you shift to reverse or when you turn it on in the apps.
Second was the loose steering. It drifted quite a bit especially at highway speed.
I had service take a look. The backup camera was fixed but the "loose steering" was normal according to them. I was disappointed to find out that as bad as the steering was, it was within their standards. I had a Synergy Front Track Bar and Sector Shaft Brace installed. I learned from other Jeep owners that this was a good fix and the steering seems to have improved. It set me back $ 580 tho.
Third is the Screen going blank (but the rear camera works). I found some resetting procedures but none of them worked. I also pulled out the fuse and no go...
When I do the reset where you press the Volume and Tune buttons at the same time for a few seconds then release, "Jeep" would show up for a couple seconds then the left temperature setting flashes...
I scheduled it for an appointment after I found out that trying to talk to a technician was in vain. I was hoping they would tell me that it only needed to be reset and we can get it done on the phone...I guess not.
Maybe some of the members here had experienced it and what they did...
Thank you everyone.
