Quick question. Ordered Jeep on 9/29
Asked for the VON and they gave me the VIN. Should I ask for the VON again or maybe the POC ? Or is the vin all I need ? Thanks

I'm here just preparing for worst case scenario:

Gupton: "We will no longer offer below invoice pricing on Jeeps".

Am I being too much of a pessimist?

I think it's more a matter of how much under invoice. Their business model seems predicated on dispensing with a lot of the typical dealer BS, and part of that is charging people out the nose to be an unnecessary middleman. They take a reasonable profit to eliminate legally mandated friction in the market.

Maybe on me 2022 orders they won’t be able to go 8% below invoice , maybe only 5-6% as of ordered 2021s I’m sure they will honor the deal when delivered.

One positive affirmation added to the cookie jar.

I think you only need the vin. Thats the number Jeep Cares ask for when you status check.

Ahh, unlikely that order went through.

I just got back from the dealer where I placed my order on (9/24/21) and 21MY orders for Jeep are closed out. And they have not opened up for 22MY orders yet. I would call your dealer and get clearification.

He did send me the vin so I would think that the order went though because of that. If it didn’t go through would they be able to provide a vin?

Yes. 8% may go away, but not the whole deal. If it did I would seriously reconsider buying a JT right now.

I don't know that after sales service is really part of their business model. The steep price mentioned there probably reflects that. You're better off breaking it in with the stock setup, then DIY or having an indie shop do it. If warranty is a concern... I guess good luck finding a local dealer to do it that doesn't totally suck.
The guy I talked to said that I could install the lift myself and it would still be under warranty.

Nowhere! No cause for alarm. Just hoping that the deals remain available for MY22.

Now that I have a ship date I am starting to really truly consider all the stuff I want to upgrade. Did any of you have Gupton do a lift/tires/mods, etc?
Interested to know this too. I want to install 35s right away, and if necessary I'll just set up an appointment with a nearby tire shop. But it sure would be easier to have the tires installed on-site and then the speedo calibrated at the same time (and, dare I hope, receive some sort of credit for the factory tires).

This contradicts what I've heard from more or less all sources including the 'good' warranty sellers who aren't trying to drive any local service work.

BUT I've often been looking at this from the context of the (more restrictive) MaxCare warranty so it's possible I'm wrong, but I'd want to be very sure if warranty coverage is important to you :)
