Am I the only one who thinks Jeep should’ve included an in dash CD player?

I agree completely with you.
Vehicle manufacturers have gotten to where they just stay with the latest tech craze and ignore everything in the past.
Would love to have it in my Mojave............
As they should. I don’t want to pay for a Jeep that has a CD player, cassette player, and 8-track player cuz a tiny segment of drivers don’t adopt change. It’s cheaper and weighs less. You can put an aftermarket stereo in if it’s something you’re passionate about.

The Apple music service allows unlimited local storage also, and I assume the others do? I have around 20GB of saved stuff. When I add something to one of my favorites lists, it's downloaded for off-road availability. Much easier than buying/carrying a CD.
I think many services do, Amazon does as well.

Still have my CDs, but I downloaded all of them to my phone. Just use Blackplayer and Bluetooth. Works great!

I'm with you on that. I would be totally pissed off thinking I paid for CD player in a new car.

Yep that works about 95% of the time with most services. Whatever reason Tidal gets pissy and refuses to work without data at times.

Also before you make fun of me, Sprint gave it to me for free. Holding it till they take it away, lol.
Free stuff is usually worth that you paid for it.

I'm 56 and have owned well over 30 cars. This is the first car ever that is keeping its factory radio, and is completely satisfactory to me. Love it. First time they finally got rid of all the old garbage and put in all the new features like USB-C.

unlimited phone data is moot in the middle of nowhere.
most are not in the middle of nowhere! those who are should be able to think outside the box!

Even though I'm among those who'd have _liked it_ if my JT came with CD capabilities, I realize it'd have been foolish if they had, because those of us that would like it and use it would be outliers that'd be a fraction of a decimal of a percent. What I'm really glad for is that I can own and drive a 2020 manual transmission, manual transfer case, solid axle truck. From there, I can add a CD. I couldn't add the fundamental attributes of this truck to some bland-wagon that came with a CD

So, you may have a Mac or PC.
You can download a free cd ripper.
Choose the highest settings for your file format, save to your computer, buy an expansion card for your phone, upload files to your phone, wire in to your Jeep, ENJOY!

And even I'll admit, with all of my analog leanings, not only are CDs digital, but also any car audio amp, factory or aftermarket (that has any power output and that you'd possibly actually want) is now Class D and digital to the core, basically a highfalutin switch mode power supply, and that's a good thing. In anything with wheels, the pro analog debate is itself antique. Nobody is running single ended triodes in car audio

I think many services do, Amazon does as well.
Every piece of music I've bought through Amazon is stored for access - I can play any of it via my phone.
I even tell Alexa to play certain songs from my library while I'm having breakfast in the morning. I can tell Alexa to play a certain artist, certain album or a specific song.

you are so retro....
:giggle:
Vinyl outsold CDs last year if I read correctly.
I have a small box I can plug into the output of my turntable, and use Audacity to rip vinyl to computer file.
