I've been considering this mod. Has anyone tried flipping the unistrut over and using longer bolts to allow the use of the slots as tie-down points? Seems like that would eliminate the need to find or make sliding attachment points.
I don’t understand, wouldn’t you still need some kind of captive nut on the backside of the rail for any tie down?

it’s pretty easy to use a spring nut or one of those plastic nuts in the channel, and a washer on the front with an eye bolt or something.

I think he's talking about just using the slots to hook into with a ratchet strap or whatever so he doesn't need any additional hardware for tiedowns.

It should work to a certain degree, but you'd be limited in the size of the hook that would work. Just using a line or rope with no hook would be a pain in the ass I think.

Finally installed some added protection with the RokBlokz. Just did the fronts for now. That was my main concern.

Do you have wheel spacers or do the wheels stick out that much? I am hoping mine have the same poke as yours, getting them installed tomorrow. I have seen some pics where they almost look even with the fenders but I am hoping that's not the case.

I don't know that I did this TO my Gladiator, but certainly did it FOR it. Cleaned up the garage...

No wheel spacers. I have about an 1.5” of poke. Depends on the width of your tire as well. You’ll still have some poke at 11.2” width.

Yanked the factory cig lighter port and installed a bass knob. Cleaner install than just double stick taping it to the dash.

I am an audio noob, are you using this with the stock Alpine upgraded system or do you have an aftermarket sub?

Tires are 12.5" wide and I have the wider axles. Hoping to get close to 2 inches.

The knob is installed inline between the stock head unit and aftermarket Alpine amplified subwoofer.

More info? I have a hood lock on the JK but with the trail cam I can’t do that.
I don't have the trail cam. Last I read, they're working on a solution for trail camera hood locks, but was a while back.

I think the only current solution for folks with the trail camera is the locking hood latches.

Installed my Skidmark hitch skid. Sits a little lower but at least I won’t be dragging the hitch and chain loops. Then took it out for some dirt therapy. This thing rides so smooth, even without airing down.

Checking the flex. Not bad for having front sway bar attached. The rear really drops
