On mineOh snap! Can’t wait. Wish I had the front cam more than anything else that didn’t come OEM
This kit is complete for $180. What am I missing here?Using @Jimmy07 's Amazon links for the camera connections, and BAM Wholesale for the Jeep parts, I am coming in under $800. The only thing BAM doesn't have is the front camera bracket. Quadratec has it for 12 bucks. Granted you then need AlfaOBD etc... but whatever. It will probably end up being $1200 when done, double the OEM cost, but I wanted that Jeep on the lot.
Jimmy's harness price is fair. You aren't just paying for the wire. You're paying the man who figured this whole thing out. Contact him for price. I'd buy one sooner rather than later. A lot of times talented guys like him come and go - he might decide sipping Pina Colada's on a pool deck is more fun than making random harnesses for Jeep bros!
? This! And less places to run cables. This kit is complete for $180. What am I missing here?

That thing is sweet! Love the wash function. Yeah I'm running the z auto one and it's perfect for parking. But it would be nice to have that factory HD one for when you're either on the trail or rock crawling. I run an aftermarket trail cam on my Tacoma and it's nicer to have that wider angle function to see what's below you on both sides. This is the OEM front trail cam. It is an HD camera ( Z Auto is 480 on an RCA connector ) with the integrated spray washer, overlaid wheels on the 8.4 display showing your current track. I am aware of the Z Auto but want the OEM system as I find it superior and worth the time and money.
Quick primer on it:
Z Auto is cool if you are fine with it. I want the OEM.
Not ordering a front trial cam when I placed my order is one of my regrets. All credit to @Jimmy07 . His detailed thread here:

and the harness I bought from him which I gloss over here:
( low light - GoPro's suck there, sorry. )
are the reason I am going to take this on. No parts other than his harness yet. Will start early next year and detail it.
I've gone through 2 zauto front cam kits and they suck. Blue screens, poor cam image quality, purple hazing of the image, etc. It has just been one problem after the other with the zauto kit coupled with their terrible customer service. I'm sure I'll get flamed by the zauto fanboys for this, but I've replaced the front cam 3 times, harness adaptor twice and the cable twice now and I'm done with it. I'm now awaiting delivery of the parts to do the OEM front cam. This kit is complete for $180. What am I missing here?

Good to know. I have not had any issue yet. Fingers crossed. I will agree the low res is a little less than desirable, but it is a cheap/easy solution.I've gone through 2 zauto front cam kits and they suck. Yeah, I was hopeful. I went in fully aware of the lower resolution. However, two of the cams were very blurry, not a lower res issue. The third (second cam I received) was good considering the resolution, but it constantly flaked out by having a purple haze over the entire screen. I've replaced all components at least twice and I believe it's a cam quality issue. I would have left well enough alone with the one cam that had decent image quality, but it was the one that constantly flaked out and was unusable. Figure if I'mGood to know.
