Frustrated! Built over 2 weeks ago but not yet shipped

You guys keep talking about less truck drivers. But never mentioned there are a lot less cars being pumped out as well. So it should equal out a bit.

Thats because the trucker shortage affects 100s of industries, so even though less cars are being produced, all those manufacturers are still fighting for truck time regardless.

Once again highlighting the requirement for a factory pickup option ala the Corvette. Especially now with such shipping issues. I'd gladly pay $500 plus to pick it up from the factory.

I would pick up from the factory in a heart beat. Except I won’t pay 500. Jeep can deduct the 1595 destination fee though haha

Ordered my Gladiator on 10/13, has been build complete for over 2 weeks and it's still just sitting in storage and not shipped. Anyone else experiencing this?

Coming up on two weeks of my Mojave being parked in Toledo and no ship date or ETA. I'm about as far west as you can go in the continental US so I tried to mentally prepare for a long shipping process. (not really working though - I want Santa to bring me my Gladiator! ?)

Trucker friends have told me this exact thing. There's no drivers and the ones they have are getting screwed around. They also have to have a full load going the same direction they are going. If there's no other orders coming your way, they won't take off with 2 vehicles on a transport.

Doesn't work that way, though. Truck drivers often get pulled where the need or work is. And frankly, you supported something else I said above - they won't take off with a partial load in every case. Can't afford to take your one truck across two states. Full loads pay, partial loads don't.
And the way it sounds from friends, there's a whole lot less drivers available than there are cars being made. Cars are still being pumped out at a fair rate. Not in the numbers of the past, but it's not dried up, either.

I feel your pain man, mine sat at the railyard in Atlanta for almost a month before it was shipped to my dealership, this trucker/logistics shortage is affecting everything.

After 2 chats and an email from my dealer over the last 2 weeks telling me it had shipped, my chat agent this morning told me that it was in storage at the factory and definitely had not shipped. I just did another chat because I was curious if they'd tell me the same thing, I was thinking maybe it regressed or something happened. No, he told me the truck definitely shipped and is in transit.

I know there are a lot of factors in play and supply chains and driver shortages are wreaking havoc, but I think it would be a lot easier to be patient if I could actually get a straight answer. That doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult. I also would have flown out to the factory in a heartbeat to take possession like someone mentioned earlier in the thread.

First world problems... life is good. If we get a huge storm though and my truck's not here yet to go play in the snow, I might just cry

I ordered 10/26 and mine is sitting waiting to be shipped for a week now with no eta. To be fair my dealer told me 2 to 3 months, so I guess it's not that bad. It only sucks because I've been driving a rental car since the beginning of October thanks to the guy who decided running a light to get some pizza was more important than me keeping my truck

I found the dealer knew a lot more than "chat". In fact the guy even sent me an email Sunday evening saying the truck had left Ohio with my truck. It arrived at the dealer at about 7am Tuesday - and he sent me an email with a pic minutes later.
I seem to recall "chat" not being totally accurate some of the times based on comments from other forum members.
