Added some under hood lighting:

I used a tilt switch from another random vehicles light I found at napa.
The lights are a pair of the Harbor Freight rock lights.

Installed the right side bumper cut out in preparation for my 2nd tow hook that’s coming in the mail. Absolute pain in the ass the plastic bumper is a nightmare and basically has to be completely taken apart.

Oracle headlights come tomorrow.

Okay, I have a question: Why do any of us NEED pneumatic hood struts? It's not like we open our hoods every day. And even if we did, the prop rod works fine.

Seems like it's just another totally unnecessary thing to spend money on. I don't "get" many of the things you guys buy like shorter radio antenna when there's nothing obtrusive or even ugly about the stock one. Not to mention it doesn't work as well as the factory antenna.

I'm beginning to get why Jeep stands for Just Empty Every Pocket - but we really don't need to at all.
I’m too cheap/stubborn to buy struts when I can use the rod.
I did do the obligatory 13” rydonair antenna though, as people said it hits branches but more likely for me, the drive through car wash :CWL:
I thought about doing a delete but was too lazy.

Personally i dont even use the hood stand. I just open the hood all the way until it rests against the jeep.

Yep… each of us like to customize what we like. Now for me I haven’t done the hood struts due to I just like to full flip my hood back all the way to the windshield and the prop rod works but as for the antenna… I’ve changed out to a smaller one on each of my Jeeps…. Why you ask… well when I’m off-roading the stock antenna hits every damn tree limb in its way and on my first Jeep chipped the paint because it was swinging so hard…. Yes our vehicles are the just empty every pocket but that’s the fun we have IMO… have a good day!

First modification:
Michelin winter tires (with 3PMSF symbol, so this are real legal winter tires according the german law) on Dotz Kalahari rims. The selection of available rims was very (!) limited, but i was not picky so it was no problem. But getting Michelin tires in December was nearly impossible, they are stock out in whole Germany. We received the last 3 pieces from Italy and 1 piece from somewhere else, 300 EUR per piece.

Update 16-Apr-2022: Put on the summer tires today, took the chance to weigh this tires: Michelin + Dotz rim = 33.3 kg = 73.4 lbs

This is the primary reason I did the antenna mod. That and the fact that I only stream from my phone, I don't listen to the radio at all.

Just an FYI, the redline struts do have quick release tabs on the bottom ball mount, so you can still throw the hood back pretty easily.

Customized my fuel rims today. I had black rhinos ordered but after months of waiting I bought these fuel trackers. I took the center caps apart and painted the ring part.
