I am crazy so i have pictures of the lift and stock suspension on my phone lol. See attached, all the isolators were black that i had.

here are the pics.... looking at the part#s the gray one appears to oem to the vehicle and the black one is from the kit.. I need to see if I can check the part numbers on the ones installed. I'm still curious why they are designed different, You can see a difference near the face to the left of the part# and also, the gray one has "lips" or "upward edges" where the spring seats and the black one does not.

I do not have a diesel, but I just did the MOPAR lift and my take-offs were gray/black just like yours. The ones in the kit were both black and look pretty much the same side by side

Also, the drivers side pic of the spring isolator orientation in the instructions (#23 and #24) does NOT match the orientation actually installed. The instructions make it look like they are mirror images of each others, when in fact (like yours) they appear to be identical. It makes it looks like one spring is CW and the other is CCW, but both the isolators and the springs are wound the same direction.

Are yours the same?

Yeah i would call and confirm. I dont think a gray and black isolator makes sense.. if they arent sure, they should purchase 2 new ones and install those for you to be sure. Also, every single kit comes with that badge so they owe you that as well!
After looking and checking the part#... the gray one is an OEM takeoff and the black matched up with the lift kit #s.... still confused how I ended up with two different color left overs..... Someone mentioned the 2022 comes with Gray isolators so I'm wondering if one of my isolators ended up missing and they just threw another 1 in the Box ? who knows, seems to be riding correctly no serious Bowing or any issues at this point so maybe it's just a no worry deal

Hey , what tire pressure are you guys running on the stock 33's, I have the all terrain Falkens, stock on JTRD... I think the door jam sticker says 37lbs(if not mistaken).. when I checked, the dealership had them all at 42lbs... maybe a difference in temperature ???

Anybody running 37's ? what pressure are you running on these ?

*I'm talking for street/highway driving.... NOT offroad.

Thanks! !

I find 33PSI is great in my 37s. The door sticker on my sport model also says 37psi from factory but I am a believer that number has increased over the years to bump up EPA MPG numbers. My JKs always said 35PSI on the door sticker and i used to run 33psi in my tires then too. As for your dealer, i think their tire guage is busted lol!

to be fair.... I picked up in Tennessee.. and it was in the 40's and the temps at home (Alabama) when I checked were in the 60's (having strange rainy weather) maybe the difference ?

Could be, tires should be "Cold" too before you measure the pressure. Between the temp change and if you measured right after the road trip will definitely give you a higher reading.

I didn't measure after the trip.... measurements were made cold at the same time... all four tires were 42lbs and I lowered them to 37lbs..... I really need to do a chalk test, I just need to research how to do it properly.

I haven't chalk tested, but I'm running my 37" BFG KO2's at 30psi at the moment

how has your ride been on the 37s.... I keep hearing "RE-GEAR, "OVER HEATING, "RUBBING"... and then others say they have no issues.... I'm waiting for my TPMS to deliver and will be adding 37s... but probably need to purchase a foldable step to get in the damn thing..lol what was your solution ? unless you are 7" tall.. or professional pole vaulter.. ha ha

I have a 6MT Rubicon, so my experience may be different than others, and as you mentioned this topic is like a religious war or vax/antivax levels of craziness ?

Coming from a 6MT Rubicon JL, I am in no hurry to re-gear. It's a -bit- more sluggish in general and 3rd gear especially is not as fun as it once was. I never really used 6th gear in my JL and found the MPG's usually went down rather than up when I did use it on the hwy because it was pushing more air in an overdrive gear. I don't use it in the JT now, either.

I may regear someday... no rush. I may also do the Magnusson SC... or both! ;) All it takes is money.

As far as getting in... yes, the 5" of height gain in the front is noticeable (33" -> 37" + MOPAR lift + Teraflex levelers). My daughter says it's our families' Monster Truck. I use the grab bar with my right arm and jump/pull to get in (I'm 5'8") but it's not like I need a ladder or step stool ?

I love the look and the ability to gain back some of the breakover angle I lost with moving from the JL (we off road as a family) and both of those, to me, outweigh the gearing issue and the ingress/egress.
