That was my point -I'm using model year, not calendar year.
But Jeep usually doesn't immediately switch to the next MY on Jan 1 like other manufacturers.
2018 models likely went into production around September, give or take, seldom later than that (except in covid years)
So when we say "early 2018 model year" that would refer to a vehicle made in 2017.
Early 2020 model would be made in calendar year 2019
Late 2020 MODEL year would be perhaps June or July 2020
