Jeep Won't Move With The Door Open - SOLVED: Auto Park was on

I tried the search feature as I am sure that this has been brought up in the past. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a thread about this topic. When the door is open on my 2021 Mojave, the Jeep will not move. Need to close the door to move. I can see this being an issue when Wheeling. Any way to get around this?

I didn't know it was called "Auto Park". Thank you for answering my question. Going to turn it off first thing in the AM.

You can't turn it off unless you have something like a Tazer (at least I think the Tazer can turn it off, but I'm not sure). I'm sure someone else will chime in.

In the meantime, if you put "won't move with door open" in the search bar, you will get other threads discussing Auto Park.

Sounds like buckling the seat belt turns off the feature. Gonna have to try it. Thanks for the link!!!

When I was in my early 20's I went 2 winters up here in NH with the doors off of my YJ. Wore a 1 piece suit every time I had to drive someplace. Anywho, thanks for the reply. But yuh. Doors are staying on during the winters for this older guy...

Buckle your seatbelt or get seatbelt extenders and your good. It's a safety feature that got added because someone ran over their self and died and jeep got sued over it

Correct. But I think the real flaw there is that stupid rotary shifter that Rams and GCs have. IMO, rotary shifters are awful, and this a less likely with a column shifter or a floor shifter. No need to reinvent the wheel.
