Mine is a max tow.Remember Rubicon's have wider axles ( unless you have a max tow) . Also Rubicon fenders are slightly wider I believe . I honestly haven't compared fender coverage in relation to axle width between the narrow and wide setups tho.
I'm running 37 12.5 17 Kanati Trail hogs, absolutely love them. Mine are on stock 17x7.5 wheels, they sit just slightly outside the fenders. I'm thinking the 315 70 17's will have slightly more poke because my 315 70 17 BFG KO2s stuck out a little farther than my 37's do now.Is that the math? If you have a Rubicon and install the Mopar 2" lift it gets you 4". Is that over say a Sport. I ask because I ordered 315/70-17 Kanati Trail Hogs and Ion 17X9 wheels with a 0 offset. I assume that will work. Now they have to finish building my damn Rubicon. I realize that the stock wheels are over +40 offset, but I wanted to get more articulation in that direction. I've struggled with my Tacoma (for sale) even with 31s and no lift. I don't know what the offset on the TRDPro wheels are (sorry for digressing).
" a tread block out from the fender" You mean with 37X12.50s?
Technically in New Mexico they give you 1" outside, so I'm hoping to be just outside with 315s.![]()
This is a Nitto 37x12.50r17 on a 8.5” +4 wheel. It’s almost about a tread block out from the fender with the Nittos. This may vary with different tires.

Yeah, I use that too, although the real test is when I put them on.Try this, I use it all the time and it takes away the guesswork and bad math on my part ?

This is what it is based on the stamp on the wheels. What is your offset?
I could be wrong but yes over a sport. The Rubicon has at least 2” over the sport IIRC and believe the 2” lift is with respect to a Rubicon model. Have seen reports that lift on a sport is much more than 2”.Is that the math? If you have a Rubicon and install the Mopar 2" lift it gets you 4". Is that over say a Sport. I like the first set the Walker Evans best, my personal preference. Never heard of them but they look nice.Well goin 17” by 8.5” with zero offset with 37” by 13.5 gladiator A/T, just can’t decide which wheel I like most lol.

I believe I got this from Discount Tire's website, but from a backspacing perspective according to this 8.5" with 0 offset is equivalent backspacing to 9" with -6 offset. How much difference: 0 offset on a 8.5" versus a 9". Is there a formula for that?
