Hey @Jimmy07 ,Input from CVPM to front camera= 20 feet female to female fakra Z- https://www.amazon.com/Bingfu-Extension-Navigation-Satellite-Telematics/dp/B07HP6X8VF/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=fakra+z+male+to+female&qid=1600016756&sprefix=fakra+z+&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFCWVpGQkM0NU05NEgmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA2NjQyNzYzQ0Q1QUlMNDU5NFlEJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAwNzUwNzcyRTRXSkwzNjdFWElTJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfcGhvbmVfc2VhcmNoX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1
To avoid any confusion, when referred to, this is the male and female fakras. The cameras, and the CVPM, all receive female ends-
Try this:Hey @Jimmy07 ,
Question about this links . It says 20 feet female to female, but the links go to a 1' female to female. There are no 20 foot female to female cables... only male to female. I guess I could buy an adapter.
Possibly. You can check by configuring the BCM for surround view. If it’s going to work, the screen would now display the overhead view on the left, with all the camera soft keys, and the overhead side views would be black.Hey @Jimmy07, Jeremy from HDRams (the guy that figured out the front off-road camera settings for the 2500s) here.
Looking at the pics of the CVPM it looks like it has the same 4 camera connectors the ram CVPM does. Do you think it would be possible to add the side cameras and enable full surround view? Obviously you'd have to find a way to mount them and they would need to go through calibration.
Good point. Assuming it works it may even be a useful view without the side cameras.Possibly. You can check by configuring the BCM for surround view. You get er' dun?So I have all the parts ready to go. The one question I do have is about the washer hose section I have highlighted. I have hose 7 from the diagram, but is the section in red already there or another part that needs to be purchased. Hose 7 does not connect to the pump, so trying to figure out where/what it attaches to on the reservoir side.
Assuming you already have a programmer, around 1k. Definitely an option you want to have on the vehicle when you buy it, lol. What is the cost of this upgrade?
Hey Jimmy, someone mentioned in my thread that without the harness, the water output will be backwards....stalk to camera nozzle, cam wash to windshield.....this ever confirmed? Thanks! There is a different part number for the washer pump jumper harness, but I don’t think it’s necessary since the wiring is the same except for one different colored wire. @bryanklay will confirm
It sucks that the drawings are no good on the websites. That hose section isn't numbered there, and when you put in the hose part # you mentioned to me,So I have all the parts ready to go. So the hose from the cam will clip to the support member, follow that down to the rubber shroud with provisions for pass through. There is a slot in the back of the radiator support for the “tree” push pin. The hose I listed will connect to the pump and has foam wrapped around it that I pushed between the frame and steering gear to hold it in place. From there you should be able to connect the two hoses. It sucks that the drawings are no good on the websites. I was figuring the existing hose to pump would remain the same, the hose to window washers would remain the same, and you simply add the new pump with second output and added one hose there. I wish I could find a pic of an installed Trailcam to understand this. I ordered the hose you mentioned just so I have everything despite not visualizing it. Is the pump moved to a different location or something, necessitating a hose extension?
