So I was just able to download the transmission tune on my wife's 4xe no issues so my guess is I can do trans tunes only. No unlocking needed. Will still need 4 credits from HP Tuners to flash it and an MPVI2 interface.

I didn't want to clutter the 392 steering wheel thread any more, so I'm going to ask this here.

Have you had any success with transmission tuning on a 2.0 JL?

I haven't tuned a 2.0 but the ZF8 is easy to tune, depending on what your looking for I don't think it would be bad.

Glad I found this thread. At the moment I’m ready to sell my truck because of how disappointed I am after spending the money for the supercharger. I think the truck drove better before it was installed.

AS said above, talk to Dave first. My JTR drives 99.9% as it did stock, just much more power!
I bought a used kit and started with Daves tune, so I cannot compare to what came from Magnuson/Petty, but Daves tune seems to be spot on from my opinion.

To all that have purchased my tune. I have made significant cruise control upgrades. I will be reaching out to you soon. The bad news is I have not been able to increase the torque limit to intiate the upshift, but if you manually put to in 8th it will hold it and work to down shift when needed. The new tube is also setup to run 89 octane.

If you have a 2021 I currently have testers running the updates I am receiving from HP.

The latest updates:

Take off from a stop has been calmed
Cruise Control is more controlled, uses less fuel
the tune is 89 octane compatible

Dave HP tune is out of there cable, I have a tazer, how can I use this to get you the info? To add I can not find my tazer box doh there a regular cable I can use?

Not sure what info you are looking to send. If you are wanting to send me your tune for rewriting you will need the HP Tuner interface. I currently have been sending guys to Lethal Performance. They have the interface and 6 credits in a bundle for a pretty good price.

Ok I’ll google them up, yes I’m trying to my tune down for you to look at. See if I can use your small pulley set.

Dave, hoping you can help me out! I have an Edelbrock e-force supercharger sitting beside my manual gladiator in the garage right now...
it's a 2021 with the GPEC2A PCM. Edelbrock is saying even though the "2020" calibration works on that PCM they don't have emissions approval for 2021s so they won't supply me a tune... Is this something you could help with? Could we remote tune on a local dyno? I'm also willing to fly you out, etc. I imagine I would at the very least need some injector scaling adjustments to get it to a dyno post install. Let me know what we can do! Looking to install ASAP and I think it would be cool for you to have support for this kit as well! Feel free to DM me
