You used to only be able to get the same transmission in the gas as well, not sure why that changedDiesel is a heavier duty transmission. It is stronger. It is not the same as the gas.
It’s not a big deal at all. Cleaning my windshield at the gas station is a whipping comparatively.
As for maintenance, my coat of maintenance in 19k miles has been $45 more than my wife’s WK2. The $45 has been for def.
Oil changes will be about $25 more as the filters are more expensive.
In thinking about it, the cost of maintenance isn’t really a big deal at all.
Fuel cost is the same. My last vehicle required premium. Fuel cost is a wash.
