Had to wait for my wife a while, chose to do it in the new Gladdy and explore things. Happened to read that the UConnect system has button combos to enter a “Dealer Mode” and separately an “Engineers Mode”. Couldn‘t resist.. I tried Dealer Mode first. Promptly got stuck running a GPS demo which according to the NAV put me in Atlanta.. Spent at least half an hour trying to figure out how to exit that and get my real NAV back. Started and stopped the engine, all that stuff. No luck.

Later, internet research on exiting “”Dealer Mode” implied dire risks and suggested several strange rituals, like holding some steering wheel buttons then opening the door for exactly 30 seconds before closing it again. Well, I confess that I was expecting a simple Exit button, so I was getting a little worried at this point. By the time I went out after dinner I was ready to push those buttons while humming the Exorcist theme and use the door to decapitate a live chicken after 30 seconds.

But - It had returned to normal on its own. Next up: “Engineers Mode”!

So...when you say they bribed you for a review...what exactly does that mean? Did they give you a discount on them?
precisely. They gave me a free pair and all I had to do was give an honest review of them. I ordered them off of Amazon and provided them with my order number and they refunded half the money via PayPal. I installed them and gave an honest review. After the review posts they will refund me the other half of the money. If they don’t, I will return them to Amazon.

some guy posted on a Facebook gladiator group asking for people to test their headlights. I messaged him and realized I had zero risk. I was planning on upgrading to LED headlights anyway.

(2) CIPA 48600 Full Size Convex Mirror (Amazon, link sends to app)
(2) 3/8-16 x 2” SS Socket Cap Screws … if you can find 2-1/4” that would prob be better
(2) 3/8-16 SS Decorative Cover Nuts (acorns)
(2) 3/8 SS Locking washer

I like that I use the T50 that comes with the hardtop removal kit to tighten along with a crescent that’s always in my glovebox

Full disclosure, passenger mirror doesn’t do much with the provided bracket - will look for something that pushes it further out.
Thanks

Installed new TeraFlex Ball Joints. My OEM Ball Joints had 14k on them and they were already showing signs of failure. Loose steering, steering shimmy at around 45-50mph and the occasional bump steer. I was shocked how loose they were when I removed the knuckles. They just flopped around!

Very interested with this. How did you do this for 35?
$30 Oracle pods for turn signals/running lights. Few dollars on screws and washers. Created my own fender flare supports out of scrap 1" x 1" nylon. I did just spend another $10 to black out all of the white in the wheel well. Rubi and Max Tow have 2pc fender flares thats easy to do fender chop (exterior mods section of this forum)

I chopped my last vehicle, JK, so kinda figured I'd also do the JT. 37's made my decision for me. I'm a budget build guy. I've done JK, JK, and now JT. Those who have the money to spend tons, build some beautiful strong safe rigs that i appreciate reading about. My entire build is under $5k, and I'm on my 2nd set of tires :like:
