Something I found out at Rausch Creek. The SteerSmart trackbar bracket bolt hits the axle tube at full flex. You can see where the undercoating is peeled away.

Threw my 1.5 Terraflex spacers in. And this is about as much of tires and lift I’ll be doing for this grocery getter.

A LSD or e locker in the rear. It’s not only getting groceries. And a winch just not that cheap eBay winch mount that came with that bumper. And that’s it. A few small things will be getting rid of the stop start and stuff like that.

Don’t forget to adjust your head lights. No excuse not to.

Because people would hook a 6.000 pound trailer onto these trucks and then belly-ache when the clutch blew or burned up, or their engine over-heated, among other things. You don't put a receiver capable of handling over 6,000-7,000 pounds on a truck that can't handle more than 4,000 pounds.
It's not standard to put such a receiver on a vehicle that can't tow that much.

I was going to say common sense to check your vehicle manual for tow capacity

What size was the receiver on the Acura?
They say "put in a ball mount and a 2" or 1 7/8" ball and tow up to 1,500 pounds behind your RDX"

The problem is people see a 2" receiver on a TRUCK and expect to tow a huge heavy load - then will blame Jeep when things go sideways. They have to idiot proof these somehow, but then a better idiot will come along, toss a receiver on it, and tow 7,000 pounds and fry things and blame Jeep.
Tow packages are not standard. That's part of a tow package Engineers pulled their hair out making them able to tow what they can.

If I saw a hefty 2" receiver on a truck, I'd assume I could tow something heavy with it............ (but I'd not gripe like most people if things broke)
If I see one on an SUV, I don't expect much out of it.
So there's one difference..........
I was going to say it would be common sense to check your vehicles towing capability before just towing a heavy payload without knowing how much you are able to tow. But then I read your comment about idiot proof and you are right. Most people would see a receiver and automatically think they can tow anything.

Taking a step back and really thinking about it makes sense to me now to having a tow package as an option.

Never checked what size receiver my acura had as I never intended to tow anything with it. I mainly used the receiver as step for my dog. I had one of those steps that hooks onto the receiver to help bigger older dogs in and out of the trunk.

Can you guys school me on why you would do this ? I thought part of the charm of the Rubicon was the electric disconnect ???
This is so the ones that don't want to install the whole electrical system and update the computer can have an easier and quicker disconnecting sway bar. After the install of course.

I'd like to find a disconnect to install on mine - but with all my stuff and a front receiver......... likely wouldn't fit.
The other sort that replace the links - nice but the price for what they are is WOW. And with my back and all, I'd rather push a button.

This looks like the way to go and is still pushing a button in a way HAHA.

Also, I have a Sport S which comes from the factory without the Sway Bar Disconnect button.

And without the integration, the screen telling you it's connected or not and so on.....

There is a way to add a flex shaft so that you can relocate the knob in the wheel well.
