I’m gonna get boo’d for this one but I didn’t have an issue with the brightness of the factory halogen headlights. I only replaced them to get a cleaner white light look.

That being said, the LED bulbs are much brighter. Probably too bright.
I agree. I have the LEDs but I've seen the halogens and they aren't bad. What I don't understand is why the halogens on the Rams are so bad. They might as well put birthday candles in the housings.

It’s not about the wheels, it’s about the gearing

That’s the value
If you're talking about rubicon, XR is 4.56. 4.88 is a factory option for $900 on 2 doors as well as 4doors. It should be an option on gladiators but it's not

Buying a Jeep does not enter you into an exclusive club by default. You've earned nothing and it's not exclusive there are hundreds of thousands of Jeep owners. This does not make you special. The same is true to Harley Davidson owners.
But but but I got the fringe jacket and everything.

To me - yes. Looks terrible. And tube doors may make them look worse.
I think they only look good on TJ and earlier models.

But, that’s just my unpopular opinion.
Any 2 door looks great. Any 4 door does not. I get wanting no doors on trail in a JLU or something but around town it just looks off to me. They look a lot better with the half doors.

So here's my unpopular opinion: "Jeep People" are a small minority in the community and nobody cares about your traditions. It's a lifestyle vehicle seen as an alternative to the 4Runner that's easy to lift and make look cool so people are drawn to it. The number of old-school jeepers and people who actually use their Jeep off-road in any way a Subaru can't handle is probably no more than 10%.

And in tandem, people need to get over the BuT SfA Is a BeTtEr dESigN ofF RoAD shit. It's better in extreme rocks but a 4Runner can do 95% of the trails out there with the Bronco doing more. This isn't 1973, technology has moved along, and most don't want to deal with shitty daily drivers so they can run Pritchett once a year.

Not a fan of People who mount shovels, traction boards, rotopax, hi lift jacks, etc on their "rigs"
Are these a daily use item?

Do not like the word "overlanding"

What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

:bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit:

That while I wouldn't own these myself, and 24's are ridiculous on any vehicle, these wheels don't look so bad on this Gladiator...

:bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit::bandit:
My unpopular opinion is that most people are uploading huge images which are greatly slowing down the forum. Could we all please resize to screen size before posting?
Luckily I didn't upload, I linked from another post. I'm not sure I've ever actually uploaded an image and I hope others do the same. Linking is your friend.

Oooow thats an unpopular one all right but I get it. Most drivers are barely able to park much less change a flat. In fact, thats a good test. You want a Jeep? Change this tire and we will talk.

The flat truth is not everyone is qualified to own a jeep. Or for that matter anything with capabilities beyond mundane. Just get themselves into trouble.

Technology certainly has moved on though.
For example, BMW now requires a subscription for stuff like heated seats. Hows that for lack of tradition :)

To each their own but my Jeep is a tool. I'm not worried about appearances, I just want it to get me where I want to go. To me that's what a Jeep is all about though I'll recognize that hasn't been the case for the majority of owners for a while.
“I like painted better” is is my opinion that qualifies as “unpopular“ ;)

I do like that you use the gladiator as a tool. Mine has to be used a tool as well, but in a different way. With my Small construction business I must to have a truck bed to carry materials. It also has to look very nice on the inside and outside for when I am meeting with and driving clients around. The fact that the top comes off after work and is super fun to take to the beach on the weekend is why I never want to go back to my GMC Sierra!

My unpopular opinion is SO unpopular that you won’t like it whether you agree with it or not. I don’t even like it:

In a decade or so our Jeeps will be obsolete lumps which embarrass your kids and are useful only for occasional nostalgic senior’s tours . Electric vehicles with half the weight, five times the torque, twice the range and 1/20th the cost per mile will easily outdo everything we can do now, on and off-road.
maybe, but I would hold on to it because I’m sure there will be plenty of people trying to find an original gladiator 20 years from now.

Manual only

When you factor in the "lift," the wheels and tires, and the gears, the XR package is simply a steal.

That's not unpopular, it's fantasy
