Painted looks nicer than plastic, …just ask my faded out plastic wiper cowl
To each their own but my Jeep is a tool. I'm not worried about appearances, I just want it to get me where I want to go. To me that's what a Jeep is all about though I'll recognize that hasn't been the case for the majority of owners for a while.

Ok, I'll give this a go.

1. Once you mod a Jeep past a certain point, it's not really a Jeep anymore. It is just a buggy that you chose to use a Jeep cab on.

2. The Ecodiesel is the rightful successor to the 4.0 Litre engine.

3. I don't care how much some people want it, the 5.7 should never be a factory option in the Wrangler or Gladiator lineups.

I should def do more wheeling. ;). 2dr Jeeps are highly overrated (and incorrect) for wheeling and being the better footprint. They're the worst footprint for offroading, even dangerous.

But the real point is...you went to extremes with your replacement models.

I think that pic above is an RC Crawler... Unless that Jeep is wheeling around some trees with Jurassic sized leaves.

Gladiators look terrible without doors and/or the hardtop off.
Really?

One of the reasons I bought a JT. The doors come off, the roof comes off and the windshield folds down if needed. What else can do that. Too many folks just don't and won't get it. Sad......

As far as an unpopular opinion...
I think those dudes that rebadge their hoods (where "Rubicon", "Willy's" and "Mojave" are supposed to go) remind me of those brosephs that used to put tribal decals on their civics, integras, and their mom's maximas.

The other day I saw a hood-decal in Rubicon/Mojave lettering that said "Vladiator" LOL... I think the plates had "VLAD8OR" too...

To me - yes. Looks terrible. And tube doors may make them look worse.
I think they only look good on TJ and earlier models.

But, that’s just my unpopular opinion.

My unpopular opinion is SO unpopular that you won’t like it whether you agree with it or not. I don’t even like it:

In a decade or so our Jeeps will be obsolete lumps which embarrass your kids and are useful only for occasional nostalgic senior’s tours . Electric vehicles with half the weight, five times the torque, twice the range and 1/20th the cost per mile will easily outdo everything we can do now, on and off-road.
