1.5" FRONT AND 0.75" REAR LEVELING

I’ve added this KSP performance leveling kit to my gladiator sport S along with Rubicon Fox front shocks and springs and the rubicon fox rear shocks, leaving my stock springs to maintain my tow capacity. I currently have 285/70/17’s on 17 inch rims with a 4 1/2 inch inset. I would like to put 35/12.50s on the same rims. The suspension raised it an inch in addition to the 1.5” leveling kit and the .75” spacer in the rear raises it just enough to compensate for additional weight when loading the bed. The fender flares on the Sport S are not as low profile as the Rubicon so not sure if there is enough clearance. Just need some direction. Thanks.

I would not be afraid to run 35/12.50 on mine, I have 285/75r17 and the 1.5 and 3/4 on a freedom edition which is basically a sport s.

That's a contradiction as the tow capacity is lowered by larger tires. Anything you do over stock size cuts towing capacity. It may pull it - but............
Springs don't make the tow capacity - everything about the truck as it comes from the factory does. Any changes will reduce it and the extra weight will reduce payload - anything you add that increases the weight of the truck on the scales cuts payload.

Ill see if I can find the picture but when i just got my Jt i had a 1.5in front / 0.75in rear with 35s.

Wasn’t the look for me. I liked it more with 285’s personally with that lift. And now I have a 2in front/rear with 255’s and its great for towing.

Plus remember you loose power / towing / hauling with big a$$ tires. Which may not be worth it for a road warrior or mall crawler build.

If you want to know how much space you have just find a way to flex and lock the front end. Then measure how close your current tires are to everything and add the appropriate amount to simulate the 35/12.50s.

I have a Sport with Rubi springs in front , rubi Shocks on all 4 corners with leveling , I have method wheels and could run 35's and debate it quite often in my mind, currently running 285 70 17 generals AT. The reason I have not made the switch is that I feel with the 3.73 gearing I am at the max tire size / performance level I want before a regear is needed.

Maybe. With a 2.5" front and no rear lift, my 35's hit the rear fenders when wheeling. 0.75" might just be enough, but maybe not. Either way, it will be very close.

They'll fit. Use bump stop spacers if worried about the tires touching the fenders while flexing.

When we add a lift and tires to any rig, we don't just put on the parts and call it good. Everything goes on the ramp or whatever we have to drive over and we check for clearances and add bump stop spacers as needed. Granted, that's always been Metalcloak lifts and they all come with a spacer assortment.

You may be okay. My current setup on the Willy's is 1.5 in the front, .75 in the rear.
34" Geolandar tires on stock rim. I'll include tire specs and Jeep pic for you to compare.

Ya the 285/75/r17 seem to be the perfect fit/look for the 1.5" front .75" rear IMHO.
