I was installing my Mopar lift specific to the eco diesel and noticed that the instructions for the springs are not clear. In the attached image below you can see each spring has a part number that is associated with a RF, LF, RR or LR indicating the orientation in which to be installed on the jeep. (left front, right rear, etc) The image on the very far left does not match the RF, LF, RR, or LR in the 3.0 column for the diesel lift. They are swapped, which is confusing. If you look in the 3.6L column on the chart the image matches. AND if you look up the JL instructions, the image matches for all 3 engines which all have different spring part numbers. What do you all think? Is this a print error on Mopar's end? For anyone with a Diesel Mopar lift installed, I would double check the tags on the springs and match the part numbers and see how your dealer or you installed them, they might be on the wrong side depending on how the instructions are interpreted.

Curious to see pics when you’re done, especially to see if it still sits lower in the front?

I called my dealer and wound up going with the part number and code (RF, LF, etc) for the orientation of the springs. Even though that does not match the image. So far the lift is awesome. Has a few thousand miles on it and couldn't be happier.

It does sit lower in the front but that is by design. I added a 3/4" leveling kit to take about 50% of the rake out of the front end.

Here are the pictures: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/showcase/2021-jeep-gladiator-sport-s-ecodiesel.499/

Yeah, seems like they should have swapped the part numbers for the diesel to match the image. Odd.

As long as the part numbers match to where you're putting them, I think you're good to go. To be honest, if I received those instructions, I'd be putting the spring based off of the LF, RF, LR, RR designations, not the images on the left.

Right, that's what I figured and what my dealer told me to do, so I went that route. Glad you also see what I am talking about though. Getting mixed messages from the instructions mid build was annoying...

I had my 2” Diesel-specific Mopar lift installed at the dealer and noticed the springs were backwards compared to instructions found on the internet. The truck was off an inch left to right and contacted the dealer. They swapped the shocks no problem and now it sit levels left to right.

Instructions I found on the internet…

I just got off the phone with Mopar Tech Service for dealerships and they said that the April 2019 installation manual is outdated and for example Part# 1147AA goes on the drivers side(LEFT SIDE) and 1148AA on the right side (PASSENGER SIDE) and same for the rear... but I have been told from other people(not sure of their qualifications) that it doesn't matter because each spring is designed in the same shape and has the same spring rate....

are you guys running it this way ? or different ? noticed any issues ?

I installed them in both configurations but didnt notice any differences. Ultimately, i left them installed in the configuration you typed out above and have been fine for the last 12,000 miles. Very happy with it.

do you recall which isolators you used ? The ones on my vehicle appear to be identical, black / soft rubber, but in the lift box of take off parts, I had a black one and a gray one, they seem hard plastic and designed different... confusing

Yeah, looks like the person doing the manual got lazy on the diagram arrows and just forgot to either omit them or make special note.

General rule with the gas 3.6L was the high number spring of a front/rear pair would go on the passenger side because that is where the gas fuel tank was on the inside passenger frame rail. That is reversed for the diesel and the fuel tank is on the inside driver frame rail.

I had the dealer install the lift PRIOR to me taking delivery... so I didn't see what came off and I didnt see what came in the box... a little off topic, but did your kit come with a JEEP performance badge... some I see pictured did.. not sure if it is worth bugging the dealership about it.. but they are $20+ on line.. if I payed for it, I should of got it.
EDIT= I see you did get the badge.. I guess I will be reaching out to the dealer... The isolators on the vehicle look as the one you pictured from the kit... Still can't figure out why I'm left with two different colored/designed ones... weird.. I will snap a pic of the tomorrow.

Yeah i would call and confirm. I dont think a gray and black isolator makes sense.. if they arent sure, they should purchase 2 new ones and install those for you to be sure. Also, every single kit comes with that badge so they owe you that as well!

I got two black isolators installed, they appear to be the ones shipped with the lift , the gray and black ones appear to be take offs(still confirming), I just looked and they are designed different and they are left/right specific.
